Naomi Campbell is desperate to keep her new lover a secret. The supermodel was spotted spending a fortune on a mystery man in a boutique/bar on Broadway. A member of staff told America’s New York Post newspaper: “She bought thousands of dollars’ worth of CDs and True Religion jeans for him.”
Campbell was reluctant to introduce the man, who is reported to be a sheikh from Abu Dhabi, and also refused to pose for photographs. As she was leaving the shop she apparently said: “I know I need to stay out of the limelight with all the trouble I have gotten myself into!”
Naomi has planned a ?1 million three day themed party in Dubai for her 36th birthday. She has rented out every room in the exclusive Burj Al Arab hotel. The guest list is reported to include fellow supermodels Eva Herzigova and Linda Evangelista.

Supermodel Karolina Kurkova is in trouble with Simon Doonan. The Czech catwalker was reportedly due to present the famously outspoken creative director of Barneys with a Fashion Maverick Award at the American Image Awards in New York last week – but she pulled out at the last moment. And he was taking no prisoners once he got onto the stage of the Hyatt Regency to pick up his gong. “Miss Kurkova was scheduled to present the Fashion Maverick Award to Simon Doonan tonight,” he said, according to PageSix.com. “And, in typical model fashion, she cancelled. Needless to say, this is something she will live to regret… Miss Kurkova pulled out at the last minute. Her excuse? Very interesting. She said she had to dash back to the Ukraine because of ‘an immigration issue’. For those of you who are not in the fashion industry, allow me to explain: When an Eastern European supermodel claims she has to ‘dash home’ because of ‘an immigration issue,’ this can only mean one thing - it means she is heading home to avail herself of some free socialised dentistry - anything for a freebie! These hussies make a fortune, but they can never get used to paying to get their teeth scraped.”

It’s been a rough time recently for Pete Doherty - Babyshambles have been dumped by their record label and he got beaten up by ex-girlfriend Kate Moss.
An inside source from the record label Rough Trade told the Independent on Sunday that they’ve let Babyshambles go because of the problems they had with the band’s front man: “Rough Trade were in the process of renegotiating a deal, but the talks broke down because it just proved to be so difficult to deal with Pete and the people he surrounds himself with.”
Clearly experienced in dealing with unpredicatable Pete, Kate took matters into her own hands. She apparently summoned him to her home after reading about his blood-spraying antics in Germany last week.
“She was angry about the blood spraying thing,” Pete himself admitted. “She beat the crap out of me. She layed into me punching and kicking.”
“I’m alright, but she hurt my finger. I couldn’t do anything back, because she’s a girl”.

Paris Hilton has revealed auditions plans to record a cover version of Gnarls Barkley’s smash hit “Crazy” for her new album - which now looks to have been moved back for a possible September release.
Originally planned for a summer release on her own Heiress Records - a subsidy of Warner Bros. - the wannabe fashion model and hotel heiress now aims to put the album out at the end of the summer.
“It’s just Paris’s latest idea and because she shares a label with Gnarls, she thinks that it will all be a piece of cake,” a source told the Daily Star. “The chances of it happening are minute, but everything has to go on pause again while it’s all discussed. That means the album won’t now be out until about September. At first it was July, then August. It keeps nearly getting finished and then something else happens.”
The self-titled set will reportedly include cover versions of Blondie’s “Heart Of Glass”, Rod Stewart’s “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy”, and the first single, produced by Scott Storch, “Turn It Up”.
