Naomi keeps her new man quiet

Naomi Campbell is desperate to keep her new lover a secret. The supermodel was spotted spending a fortune on a mystery man in a boutique/bar on Broadway. A member of staff told America’s New York Post newspaper: “She bought thousands of dollars’ worth of CDs and True Religion jeans for him.”
Campbell was reluctant to introduce the man, who is reported to be a sheikh from Abu Dhabi, and also refused to pose for photographs. As she was leaving the shop she apparently said: “I know I need to stay out of the limelight with all the trouble I have gotten myself into!”
Naomi has planned a ?1 million three day themed party in Dubai for her 36th birthday. She has rented out every room in the exclusive Burj Al Arab hotel. The guest list is reported to include fellow supermodels Eva Herzigova and Linda Evangelista.

He’s not a sheikh. His name is apparently Badr Jafar. The royal family in Abu Dhabi have the surname “Al Nahyan”. The royal family in Dubai are “Al Maktoum”. Nowhere in the UAE, or even in the Gulf - to my knowledge - is there a royal family surnamed “Jafar”.
Nor is he any other type of “sheikh”, which can also be used to refer to a religious leader or venerated tribal elder.
