Naomi Campbell is desperate to keep her new lover a secret. The supermodel was spotted spending a fortune on a mystery man in a boutique/bar on Broadway. A member of staff told America’s New York Post newspaper: “She bought thousands of dollars’ worth of CDs and True Religion jeans for him.”
Campbell was reluctant to introduce the man, who is reported to be a sheikh from Abu Dhabi, and also refused to pose for photographs. As she was leaving the shop she apparently said: “I know I need to stay out of the limelight with all the trouble I have gotten myself into!”
Naomi has planned a ?1 million three day themed party in Dubai for her 36th birthday. She has rented out every room in the exclusive Burj Al Arab hotel. The guest list is reported to include fellow supermodels Eva Herzigova and Linda Evangelista.

Supermodel Karolina Kurkova is in trouble with Simon Doonan. The Czech catwalker was reportedly due to present the famously outspoken creative director of Barneys with a Fashion Maverick Award at the American Image Awards in New York last week – but she pulled out at the last moment. And he was taking no prisoners once he got onto the stage of the Hyatt Regency to pick up his gong. “Miss Kurkova was scheduled to present the Fashion Maverick Award to Simon Doonan tonight,” he said, according to PageSix.com. “And, in typical model fashion, she cancelled. Needless to say, this is something she will live to regret… Miss Kurkova pulled out at the last minute. Her excuse? Very interesting. She said she had to dash back to the Ukraine because of ‘an immigration issue’. For those of you who are not in the fashion industry, allow me to explain: When an Eastern European supermodel claims she has to ‘dash home’ because of ‘an immigration issue,’ this can only mean one thing - it means she is heading home to avail herself of some free socialised dentistry - anything for a freebie! These hussies make a fortune, but they can never get used to paying to get their teeth scraped.”

It’s been a rough time recently for Pete Doherty - Babyshambles have been dumped by their record label and he got beaten up by ex-girlfriend Kate Moss.
An inside source from the record label Rough Trade told the Independent on Sunday that they’ve let Babyshambles go because of the problems they had with the band’s front man: “Rough Trade were in the process of renegotiating a deal, but the talks broke down because it just proved to be so difficult to deal with Pete and the people he surrounds himself with.”
Clearly experienced in dealing with unpredicatable Pete, Kate took matters into her own hands. She apparently summoned him to her home after reading about his blood-spraying antics in Germany last week.
“She was angry about the blood spraying thing,” Pete himself admitted. “She beat the crap out of me. She layed into me punching and kicking.”
“I’m alright, but she hurt my finger. I couldn’t do anything back, because she’s a girl”.

Paris Hilton has revealed auditions plans to record a cover version of Gnarls Barkley’s smash hit “Crazy” for her new album - which now looks to have been moved back for a possible September release.
Originally planned for a summer release on her own Heiress Records - a subsidy of Warner Bros. - the wannabe fashion model and hotel heiress now aims to put the album out at the end of the summer.
“It’s just Paris’s latest idea and because she shares a label with Gnarls, she thinks that it will all be a piece of cake,” a source told the Daily Star. “The chances of it happening are minute, but everything has to go on pause again while it’s all discussed. That means the album won’t now be out until about September. At first it was July, then August. It keeps nearly getting finished and then something else happens.”
The self-titled set will reportedly include cover versions of Blondie’s “Heart Of Glass”, Rod Stewart’s “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy”, and the first single, produced by Scott Storch, “Turn It Up”.

He might have hit the headlines for his romance with
Kate Moss but Russell Brand apparently has the hots for her best friend, Sadie Frost, instead. A source has told: “Brand just can’t keep away from Sadie. And she’s just loving all the attention.” “Kate Moss had a fling with Brand - but he’s now getting to know Sadie a little better. “Kate is a free spirit and cool with that. They’re one big happy family.”
It wouldn’t be the first time Kate and Sadie had shared a lover - last year, it was reported that Kate had joined Sadie and her ex-husband Jude Law in bed on several occasions.

Full time junkie and wannabe rocker Pete Doherty has vowed to get clean on drugs and win back supermodel
Kate Moss.
According to various sources, Doherty is desperate to prove to Moss that he can give up drugs. Moss is currently dating MTV host Russell Brand. Doherty has decided to have another implant to give one more try to overcome his drug needs once and for all.
He is checking himself into a clinic in Burford to have a drug, which stops heroin having an effect on him. It will be inserted into his stomach.
A source said: ‘Kate really loves Pete but she cannot be with him if he continues to use drugs. Russell is perfect for her because he has managed to get clean - and he makes her laugh.
Pete was furious to hear that she is dating him - especially as he is a pal of Pete’s old Libertines bandmate Carl Barat. But he has vowed to get her back.’
A close friend of Kate said: “Kate finds Russell hilarious and he has the sort of rock star looks she’s attracted to. But they have deeper things in common. He is recovering from drugs, booze and sex addiction problems. Kate has been through her cocaine scandal and is getting over junkie Pete. So they have a lot to talk about.”
Furthermore he continued: “They spent the night together and have been on the phone since. All Kate’s friends think he is the perfect man for her. She’s found someone who also used to go wild and remains successful but is trying to live a clean life.”

Supermodel and racing fanatic Jodie Kidd zoomed into Carlisle for the first time two days ago to help launch an online way of paying car tax. Jodie woke at 4am to make the four-hour trip from her home in Birmingham for the DVLA launch at Tullie House. The newly-wed 6ft 1in model, who is designing her own golfwear range for Hi-tec, said: “It’s my first visit to Carlisle but my husband Aidan Butler knows the city. “He’s involved in horse racing, he’s a fifth generation bookmaker and he’s been up here a lot. He says there’s a great racecourse, and it’d be nice to join him up here in the future.” Jodie, who drives for the Maserati racing team, sat on an inflatable keyboard to launch direct.gov.uk’s new online car tax service. The new way of buying a tax disc can take less than three minutes – it takes just a minute longer on a new hotline set up for those without a computer. The move is expected to make it easier for people who work shifts or have busy lifestyles to pay without a need to queue at the post office. Sue White is a delivery manager at the DVLA’s offices in Swansea. She said: “There are around 33 million cars in the UK. This new service is about giving customers a choice about how they get their tax. “Some people still want to go to the post office but if they want to do it over the phone then this will make it easier for them. “My dad is 71 and he’s used it. He says it’s fantastic.” “I got my own one night online and it was with me within three days.” Drivers need only their V5 log book number and their car registration. All MOTs issued from March 2006 are computerised and checks can be carried out by the DVLA electronically. A DVLA survey of 2,000 UK motorists revealed that 69 per cent of drivers have admitted avoiding renewing their tax because they can’t find the paperwork. Almost 60 per cent said that being able to make online payments means they would pay bills on time. To pay your car tax online, log on to www.direct.gov.uk/taxdisc or call 0870 850 4444 in the UK.

Gisele Bundchen told the New York Daily News that after dating super-celebrity Leonardo DiCaprio, her ideal man is a humanitarian who works for Doctors Without Borders. “Their dedication and intelligence is sexy - I love intelligent men,” she said. She also revealed the mystery behind the blue star tattoo inked on her wrist. “It’s a shooting star, for my grandmother,” the Victoria’s Secret model explained. “She died when I was young. When I first moved to New York, there were no stars in the sky, so to remind me of her I drew one on my wrist and kept it there for a month, and then had someone draw it in, which is why it’s a little crooked.”

According to the Chairman of the Italian Fashion Operators, Mario Boselli, striking, when it comes to top-models, is understandable in principle yet not to be endorsed: “qualified value added professional fashion services and related media need to be brought back to Italy - Boselli told Assomoda parties -; clearly we must safeguard all parties involved in the sector, and that involves re-establishing the sector professions”. Boselli went on to add that it is just as important that “rules need to be set, and they must apply to both Italian model agencies and foreign agencies operating in Italy, so as to provide a fair deal in terms of the rights and obligations to all parties alike”. Boselli stressed his disagreeing with the strike but admits that “possibly, in fact certainly, it brought the issue to the fore”.
