Kirsty Hume’s aye for talent
Supermodel Kirsty Hume backed Scotland’s fashion industry yesterday. The Ayrshire model, 29, voiced her support for the country’s talent – wearing an outfit by young designer of the year Christopher Kane. She waived her normal fee for this stunning shoot commissioned by organisers of the Scottish Fashion Awards. Kirsty was named model of the year at the inaugural awards, sponsored by top jewellers Hamilton and Inches. She said: “It’s wonderful to come home to Scotland and I was honoured to be named model of the year. “I am delighted to support Scotland’s fantastic fashion talent.”
The new portraits feature the designs by other award winners from May’s show, including designer of the year Jonathan Saunders and Jennifer Lang, winner in the textiles and cashmere category.
