The legal battle over a sex tape involving supermodel Carolyn Murphy has extended to the Valley. Murphy is currently the face of Estee Lauder and appeared on the cover of the 2005 Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.
From 1999 to 2002, she was married to surf shop owner Jack Schroeder, who was in court Wednesday night at Fourth Avenue Jail. During their marriage, the couple apparently made a sex tape and now the two are in a legal battle over the release of it.
Schroeder’s spokesman said that his client was in court after he was arrested for allegedly not showing up to a court appearance related to the sex-tape disclosure. The spokesman also said that his client is posting a $7,500 bond and is expected to be released from jail sometime today. Murphy and Schroeder are still battling in court over whether or not their sex tape will be released to the public.

According to supermodel Helena Christensen who was in Ireland last week to launch the new Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign in Ireland, more women should “self check” for breast cancer.
Helena told Irish Medical Times that it was vital that women didn’t ignore any warning signs out of fear. “My doctor from an early age told me to touch myself around the breasts and under the armpits, and not feel weird about it! Especially when you’re young, you get a little bit intimidated by your body. It’s going through so many changes,” she said.
She urged women who felt worried to go to their doctor rather than leave it to chance. “I’ve always thought it’s better to go to the doctor one too many times than to postpone it,” she told IMT.
The fund raising campaign centres on the sale of a unique designer range of t-shirts, each with a distinctive bull’s eye logo. In Ireland, all t-shirts which cost €30 and €35 will be sold through the Brown Thomas group in aid of Action Breast Cancer (a project of the Irish Cancer Society) and Europa Donna Ireland to develop services for younger women with breast cancer.

Supermodel Kate Moss has recently completed work on a short movie directed by Mike Figgis. Conducted in conditions of extreme secrecy, the shoot, for lingerie company Agent Provocateur, took place last month in a private house in Mayfair; the movie will be marketed later this year as if it were an internet viral video.
Figgis also took 40 still photographs for the Agent Provocateur catalogue. The director, who had not worked with Moss before, told a friend: “I finally realise why people call her a supermodel. She is the only one and the best.”
Agent Provocateur’s owner, Vivienne Westwood’s son Joe Corre, would only hint at the nature of the forthcoming ad campaign. “Watch out for something in September that is huge,” he told me, “but top secret for now.” Figgis’s office, meanwhile, claimed to know nothing about the campaign.
Moss has also been splashing out on art, recently buying a sculpture called To Every Seed His Own Body by fine-art taxidermist Polly Morgan. Moss paid $7,000 for the piece - a stuffed blue-tit in a bell jar - and plans to use it to brighten up her Cotswolds home.

Supermodel-turned-TV presenter Tyra Banks will become the first beauty to ask editors not to digitally enhance her appearance when she appears on magazine covers.
The 32-year-old is fed up with the message being sent out to young girls when they see flawless women in magazines, and she wants the world to see her without the benefit of computer technology.
Instead, Banks will use make-up and hair extensions to achieve beautiful looks. A member of the star’s company, Bankable Productions, says, “Modeling is an unreal business, but Tyra wants to make it more real.
“She always tried to get heavier women to take part in America’s Next Top Model - although the industry continues to reject them and the few that get through are magically transformed into waifs by magazines.”

Kate Moss has decided to go into therapy to work out what continually draws her to the wrong men.
A source close to the model told the Mirror: “Kate wants to work through why she always wants bad boys. She’s convinced that her attraction to wild guys is down to the traumatic split between her parents when she was just 13.”
Kate was apparently spurred on by seeing how best friend Sadie Frost has tried to turn her life around after talking through her childhood and problems: “Sadie’s … been seeing a female therapist. Having been influenced by Sadie’s new take on life, Kate is following in her footsteps and intends to see the same therapist to sort out the same issues.”
“Kate’s seen what a difference it has made to Sadie’s life and how much happier she is, so she wants to go back to her past and try to come out much stronger.”
“Kate and Sadie have always done things together, and now they both feel they will never find Mr Right if they carry on their old lives.”

She might have dated Josh Hartnett in the past and had a relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio, but supermodel Gisele Bundchen is worried that she’s not as popular with the opposite sex now she’s getting older.
She said recently: “I definitely feel that I had more men hitting on me in the past. When I was younger, maybe 15 or 16, for sure.”
“Maybe I am not as good looking, I don’t know?”
“Maybe my age has started showing? I take off my sunglasses and I’m 25.”
Yeah Gisele, you are 25!!

Top model Karolina Muller has been burning up the catwalks and setting magazines on fire since she blazed onto the fashion world seven years ago. One of Europe’s elite class of top models, she was discovered at the tender age of 15 while on a trip to Denmark. She initially spurned offers from agencies and photographers, preferring instead to concentrate on her love of languages, journalism, and the performing arts. It was the famed late-great director, Krzysztof Kieslowski, the discoverer of countless great acting beauties, who first recognized her raw acting talent and urged her to pursue what he presciently knew she was meant to do. However, she wisely chose to complete her studies before embarking on either career.
At the age of 17, she finally followed through on the relentless urging and constant entreaties to model. She was immediately signed by the Elite Modeling Agency, and almost as quickly flown to Paris. In short succession, she graced the pages of Italian Vogue, French Vogue, W, Elle, Marie Claire, and Glamour and worked with the pantheon of fashion photography: Peter Lindbergh, Paolo Roversi, and Patrick Demarchelier. Her character, spirit, and spark made her an instant hit and a favorite of the most respected and important designers in the world. She was in such demand that runway work soon followed. Designers everywhere wanted her to wear their clothes for her unique grace, unparalleled style, and intense beauty. Versace, Ungaro, Chanel, Valentino, Armani and Christian Dior routinely had to wait in line to book Karolina. Yet, she has always remained unassuming and wholly unaffected by the world of fashion, and has longed to stretch her creative impulses.
Four years ago she found just that opportunity when the multiple-award winning, international director, Michael Winterbottom, spotted her on the pages of Italian Vogue and demanded she take part in his next film. Karolina was cast in a major role in The Claim, a multimillion-dollar epic shot entirely in the brutal frozen tundra of Northern Canada and starring Wes Bentley, Milla Jovovich, and Nastasja Kinski. Her striking beauty made her the perfect actress to play the younger Elena to Nastasja Kinski’s older version of the same character. Karolina not only held her own against these seasoned veterans, but earned their respect and was met with critical approval when the film was released. Karolina had instantly and effortlessly proven to be a future acting talent worth reckoning. It would be two more years as her fame as a globe trotting model continued to grow before Karolina would decide that her love for acting was to ultimately prevail. After one meeting, famed acting coach, Harold Guskin, recognized her talent and took her on as a client (a rare exception he made for so raw an actor.) She has since dedicated her attentions to cutting-edge independent films that showcase her ability to transform herself from a top model into a stunningly diverse actress willing to take-on the complexities of challenging roles. Karolina had instantly and effortlessly proven to be a future acting talent worth reckoning.
