Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty has been arrested again for possession of drugs.
The 27-year-old rocker, and boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss, was arrested by London police during the weekend on suspicion of possessing crack cocaine, reports CNN.
Police apprehended the singer after he was seen erratically driving his Jaguar near his London home.
The singer and two associates have been released on bail pending analysis of the “substances recovered,” said a Scotland Yard spokesperson.
The arrest comes just weeks after Doherty claimed to have turned a corner, checking into the Priory rehabilitation facility.
Last month, Doherty cancelled all his remaining tour dates with his band, to give himself time to recover from his addictions.

Wednesday night’s World Music Awards didn’t sound like it was a fun time for Paris Hilton. As well as having to avoid Lindsay Lohan, Paris reportedly also nearly got punched by Texas frontwoman Sharleen Spiteri at the Vanity Fair after-show party.
According to the Mirror, the socialite asked her minder to clear some space amongst her fellow revellers so that she could stand and dance on her seat.
An onlooker told the newspaper: “That didn’t go down too well with the crowd, who were all important people,” and when someone in the crowd behind Paris threw ice at her back, Paris accused Sharleen.
“She screamed and lurched towards Sharleen, who was sitting with friends, and shouted, ‘What the f*** did you do, you f***ing ugly idiot?’”
“Sharleen pulled her fingers into a fist and screamed: ‘F*** off, I’m not scared of you’.”
“In the States she gets away with behaving like she owns the place, but she doesn’t realise we don’t go in for that here.”
The source added that Paris then turned to her own minder and yelled: “Why the f*** didn’t you stop this? You saw they were throwing ice. Why are you here at all when you can’t see this? F***ing idiot.”
Sharleen’s spokesperson confirmed the incident yesterday: “[Sharleen] was confronted by Paris and two bodyguards and accused of something she didn’t do. She told them where to go in no uncertain terms.”

Cindy Crawford has come to the defence of fellow supermodel Naomi Campbell, insisting she has a sweet side, despite her volatile temper. The British beauty was recently charged with allegedly assaulting an actress friend last year and is also fighting three legal battles with former employees who claim she attacked them.
Crawford was asked about her colleague’s fiery temper on US talk show THE VIEW Monday and said, “I try to stay out of her way! “You know what I always said, in a sweet way, she’s like a little diva. She has her moments of being funny and sweet. “I haven’t seen her…actually I did a shoot with her like a year ago. (But) I’ve never been around her while she was throwing stuff!”

The winner of “America’s Next Top Model” formerly known as Eva Pigford has changed her name along with changing her management, reports the New York Post’s Page Six.
“She’s looking for a fresh start,” an insider told the paper of her decision to give pink slips to her co-manager Tyra Banks and Benny Medina.
It was Banks’ show “America’s Next Top Model” that turned Pigford from an ill-mannered Los Angeles teen – as seen on Cycle 3– into a successful, working model who now hosts her own fashion-related reality show on BETJ called, “My Model Looks Better Than Your Model.”
The 22-year-old now has a new management team headed by Jerome Martin, reports the Post.
Tomorrow, the runway diva will also officially announce that she is dropping her harsh-sounding last name Pigford and replacing it with her more palatable middle name, Marcille

Brazilian model Ana Carolina Reston was killed by a diet of just apples and tomatoes. The 21-year-old was buried in her native Brazil yesterday. She died earlier on Tuesday weighing just 39 kilograms/88 pounds (we reported) after being hospitalised for kidney failure - and a relative has revealed she only ate the two fruits in the months leading up to her death .
Cousin Geise Strauss says, “She liked apples and she adored tomatoes as well - but that was about it.” Published reports reveal the model received treatment for anorexia, but bosses at one of her main agencies, L’Equipe, insist they had no idea she was ill.
In a statement released to US news show “Entertainment Tonight” yesterday, a spokesman for L’Equipe said, “We don’t force our professionals to be ‘very thin.’ Those who have the a naturally thin biotype work in fashion and those who haven’t are addressed to advertising.
“After (she) had to be admitted in the hospital, she was frequently visited by an employee from the agency. All medical staff responsible for her was extremely worried, because she complained from pain in the kidneys and had a profile of generalised infection.
“L’Equipe would like to reinforce that its philosophy has always included the concern about the professionals’ health, including their diet and physical activities. We are deeply sorry about what happened to Ana Carolina Reston. Even in these dark times, we have never stopped helping the model and her family.”
Meanwhile Ana Carolina’s mother has made an emotional appeal for parents to take better care of aspiring young models.
The death of Ana Carolina Reston follows growing criticism of the use of underweight models in the fashion world, an issue given new significance after the death in August of Uruguayan model Luisel Ramos (read here) of heart failure during a fashion show in Montevideo.

Canadian supermodel Linda Evangelista has reportedly found love with Hard Rock Cafe founder Peter Morton. The pair recently moved into a Los Angeles mansion together after dating for three months. Evangelista, 41, gave birth to son Augustin just last month. She is fiercely protective of her private life and has always refused to name the father. Morton, 60, is the father of playboy Harry Morton, who recently ended his relationship with Linsay Lohan.

Brazilian model Ana Carolina Reston (also known as Carolina Reston), 21, died of anorexia nervosa, Brazilian media reported on Wednesday. Reston, 1.72 metres tall and weighting only 40 kilogrammes, was in hospital since October 25 due to a kidney malfunction. Her condition became more serious and deteriorated into a generalised infection that led to the young woman’s death on Tuesday.
Born to a middle-class family in Jundiai, in the state of Sao Paulo, Reston had worked for renowned modelling agencies such as Ford, Elite and L’Equipe, in countries like China, Turkey, Mexico and Japan. She has also done advertising-campaings for Armani and Versace.

Supermodel Cindy Crawford is reportedly furious that people are making her daughter’s swimsuit shots into a sordid affair.
Crawford came under fire from critics who labelled photos, in which her then four-year-old daughter Kaya posed for swimsuit shots, inappropriate.
The supermodel, however, is not amused with what people are saying, and has lashed out at them, insisting that people should think carefully before calling a four-year-olds’ pictures “topless”.
“My friend has a swimwear line and she makes little girls’ suits, so she had a bunch of her friends bring their daughters over and we did a little photo shoot, for a look book on their website. I was there and it was so innocent. Kaya’s wearing shorts and she is posed peeking back over her shoulder. Some blog site called it a topless photo. I can’t see how can you even call a four-year-old being topless!” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
“She’s a little girl, there wasn’t makeup involved or pageantry, it was truly just like little girls playing,” Crawford insisted.
And now the incident has left such a bad taste in Crawford and hubby Randy Gerber’s mouths that they’ve decided not to let their daughter pose for any more pictures.
“I will put it this way, they just had the shoot again and she didn’t do it this time. More because my husband was like, ‘Why do we want to put ourselves in that situation?’ It’s too bad, because one of my best girlfriends shot the pictures this time and she knows Kaya and it would have been great and I would have gotten great family photos,” Crawford added.

Kate Moss’ fiance Pete Doherty threatened to leave her after she flirted with a male stripper, it has been claimed. The rocker reportedly accused the 32-year-old model of paying too much attention to the male performer when they visited a London club to watch a saucy avant-garde strip show.
A source told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: “They had a row after he accused her of flirting with a male stripper and spending all her time with friends. “Kate swore to Pete that he had it all wrong, but he wouldn’t listen. He said she was constantly jealous of him so now he was giving her a dose of her own medicine. He moaned that her life was too much like a circus of parties and hangers-on and she didn’t make enough time for him.
“He told her, ‘make space for us alone or I’m moving out.’” To make sure Kate really got the message Pete even moved some of his belongings out of her North London home. Desperate not to lose the love her life, Kate - who confirmed the pair were engaged two weeks ago - decided to clear her schedule, send her four-year-old daughter, Lila Grace, to stay with her dad Jefferson Hack, and dedicate a whole romantic weekend to Pete. The source added: “She couldn’t bear the thought of life without Pete so she swung into action. No one was to get in touch. This time was for Pete alone.”

Fashion model Altantuya Shaariibuu, 28, was found dead in Selangor, Malaysia on Monday, according to a report in the Malaysian newspaper The Star. “The police believe she was shot twice in the head and her body blown into pieces. It is understood that C4 explosives, used in demolition work, were used to blow up her body in an effort to destroy evidence,” The Star reported.
A Malaysian political analyst, a man aged around 40, was arrested by the local police in his office in Ampang on charges of murder on Tuesday. “Whoever is involved will be brought to book regardless of his stature,” said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan. “I am also going to find out how and who authorized the issuance of the explosives used in the murder,” he said. The arrested man works for a private think-tank, which conducts research and prints publications on politics, economics, defense and international relations. The Mongolian Embassy in Bangkok has instructed its honorary consul in Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Syed Abdul Rahman Alhabshi, to follow up on the case.
“Syed Abdul Rahman informed us about the murder of a woman believed to be our citizen. We don’t have much information regarding the case at this moment and are waiting for more details from him,” the embassy official told The Star.
Altantuya Shaariibuu went missing about three weeks ago. The Malaysian media report that information provided by her sister and cousin led to the arrest of three police officers – a chief inspector, a woman detective and a corporal of the local special force unit. Her sister and cousin lodged police reports when Altantuya did not return to her hotel, Hotel Malaya, on October 19.
Altantuya is said to have met the political analyst when he visited Mongolia about two years ago. Their relationship led to a baby born in Mongolia 16 months ago. She came to Malaysia to trace the man and to ask him for financial support for the baby’s medical treatment. She managed to find out where he lived but failed in her attempt to meet him until October 19 when she was said to have received a telephone call to meet him at his house. She was said to have called her sister and cousin when she had reached the analyst’s house.
After this and before she could enter the house, she was seized by several men, pushed into a car and driven away. Her sister and cousin, who last heard from her that night, became worried and sought the help of the Mongolian Embassy in Bangkok after they were told that there was no embassy in Malaysia.
However, when they called Bangkok they were referred to the honorary Mongolian consul. They managed to contact the consul-general who immediately helped them lodge reports at the Dang Wangi and Travers police stations. Malaysian Bernama news agency said on Wednesday that the magistrate’s court extended the remand order on two police officers and the political analyst in connection with the murder.
