JayT, you're insaine. I'm a bit taller than 5'9" and I weigh 140, and am a size 6. My BMI is 20.7 If my BMI were to be 16, like you suggest, I'd weigh 110. I would be EMACIATED, hair falling out, amenorrhea, dry skin, and cold all of the time. Sounds like a great time to me. All that to be a size 0. What is the point? So assholes like you can admire me? Not so much.

WRONG PEOPLE!!!!
Thin gals and women are beautiful! Any girl with BMI over 19 does not look good. period.
The best bodies are between 16 and 18

Some people may be naturally skinny, but even in the fashion world they must be a small minority. I think it's an excellent idea to ban models with BMIs under 18 from runway shows and photo shoots, not only to protect their health and that of the millions of teenage girls who admire them, but also because skin and bone is simply not beautiful!! I don't understand how designers can fail to see that their clothes all look like bin-liners on girls without any curves. It isn't good that so many people are getting fat these days either, but there should be something inbetween - slim rather than superskinny.

I think that it is absolutly crazy that someone can actually regulate a persons weight. I think that of course some of the models have eating disorders and they should be helped but it doesnt make much sense to put a blanket over an intire industry and say that every girl should weight a certain amount. Its like saying watching movies with violence is causes people to commit crimes so we should stop making violent movies... instead to make it seem the only way you can be skinny is if you are unhealthy people should start to realise people come in all different shapes and sizes...some people are just skinny!!!!!!
