Pete Doherty has confirmed he is to wed Kate Moss. The Babyshambles frontman admitted the pair are engaged when he dedicated a song to “my beautiful fiancée” in front of a thousand fans yesterday (11.04.07). The romantic gesture came as Pete introduced the track ‘KP Nuts’ during a solo show at London’s Hackney Empire.
Kate joined him on stage to help perform a couple of songs, including ‘La Belle Et La Bete’, sporting an engagement ring.
Speculation over the pair’s wedding plans has been rife ever since Pete bought a diamond engagement ring last August.

The Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards believes Pete Doherty’s relationship with Kate Moss will eventually end in tragedy for the couple because they’re dangerous for each other.
Keith told the NME recently: “[Pete] should shut the f**k up and leave her alone. I don’t know the man. All I know is he’s pushing his luck and there it is. But so is Kate, who I know very well.”
“Kate wants to play with the bad boys and she’s done one, then another, then another. She’ll live, the boys will die.”

Supermodel NAOMI CAMPBELL has pulled out of her new reality TV show, forcing MTV bosses to axe the programme at the last minute. The catwalk star was due to start filming this week (begs09APR07), before suddenly having a change of heart. An MTV source says, “Producers were on the phone with her all the time, setting up the show with her and her manager. But then last week MTV stopped getting their calls returned.” The programme was set to follow the 36-year-old’s quest for a new personal assistant.

Part-time fashion model Paris Hilton reportedly snubbed new lover Josh Henderson’s friends after she ditched them to party with her girlfriends.
The hotel heiress, who began dating the ‘Desperate Housewives’ actor last month, visited West Hollywood’s Saddle Ranch bar to meet his closest male friends on Saturday night (07.04.07) - but she did not stay for long.
A source told gossip website x17online: “Josh picked Paris up and took her out to meet his friends. “But almost as soon as they had arrived she called a car to come and take her to the Republic club where she met up with a bunch of her girlfriends.”
Paris, 26, got her driver to take her back to the Ranch later, but only so she could fetch Josh and take him out to Hollywood nightclub Mood.
However, the Wisteria Lane bad boy seemed to forgive the socialite for not making an effort with his friends, as he spent the night at her house.
Paris’ representative Elliot Mintz said: “Josh treats Paris with great respect and dignity. He is not a ‘Hollywood guy’. Paris seems very comfortable around him.”
The 25-year-old actor previously dated singer Ashlee Simpson, who he has called his “first true love”.

Kate Moss admits she is difficult to work with. The supermodel, who is designing a range for high street chain Topshop, has revealed she is a perfectionist and always speaks her mind.
She said, “Topshop haven’t said no to anything I wanted to do. I’ve said, ‘This isn’t good enough’, or ‘This fabric doesn’t feel right, it’s too stiff’, or ‘This leather is too shiny, it needs to be more matt’ and they have done it.” advertisement
The 33-year-old says she isn’t a natural fashion designer, but agreed to work with Topshop because she was fed up of people copying her style.
She said, “I can’t sketch and I can’t make clothes. I think they kind of copy me sometimes. I mean, I’m sure they do it with a lot of people, but I do notice with me, they do it so quickly and they do it so well. So I said, ‘I could give you my stamp, and you could get I direct.’ I can’t wait to see people wearing it.”

Simple Life beauty and part-time fashion model Paris Hilton is on a mission to clean up her image. The failed singer’s lawyers have been busy shooting off cease-and-desist notices. According to Page Six, Hilton’s lawyer Gregory Gabriel emailed bloggers, Michael K of Dlisted.com, after Michael K posted a parody of “The Simple Life” poster on his site making fun of Hilton and her pal Nicole Richie.
Gabriel wrote to K: “This poster clearly implies Ms. Hilton has loathsome diseases and also implies Ms. Hilton uses Vicodin. The inferences . . . are false and de famatory.” Gabriel demanded the image be removed from the Web site.
Hilton was embarrassed earlier this year when contents of her long-forgotten storage locker were posted on the Web, which included a prescription in her name for Valtrex, the drug used to combat genital herpes, and Richie has admitted to abusing Vicodin.
Last week, Paris Hilton was slammed in Manhattan Mini Storage ads showing a Chihuahua who looks a lot like Tinkerbell with the slogan: “Your closet’s so shallow, it makes Paris look deep.”
Hilton’s lawyer, Howard Weitzman, fired off a “cease-and-desist” letter to the storage company.

Kate Moss is just sad old mutton masquerading as supermodel lamb. We know this because FHM , the female anatomy magazine, says so. At the time of writing, Moss was thousands of votes short of making their 100 Sexiest Women readers’ poll. FHM spokesman Chris Bell said: ‘In the fashion world, Kate is considered one of the most beautiful women, but according to FHM readers, she’s past it.’
Bell added that hanging out with Pete Doherty had left Moss ‘weathered’ and his readers preferred someone ‘more womanly’. Presumably someone like the FHM poll front runner, glamour model Keeley Hazell - a hottie blessed with the kind of chest a tragically confused Sir Ranulph Fiennes might one day attempt to climb. One imagines that it would be difficult to fill a small room with men who couldn’t find something about Hazell they liked. One imagines that the same room could be allocated to women who’d actually heard of her.
For Hazell is one of those ‘invisible ink’ women - as in, culturally invisible to one gender while visible with a (hormonally charged) vengeance to the other. The irony is noteworthy: when women all over the country are preparing to buy Moss’s clothes at Topshop, the males of the parish are losing interest in her taking them off. It seems bizarre that women opt for Moss as their Favourite-Ever Modernday Icon while the readers of a men’s magazine wouldn’t even place her in their top 100. Would it be too paranoid to put the whole thing down to their relative ages - the fact that Hazell is 20 (good), while Moss is 33 (bad)?
Don’t be stupid, say several male sources. As in, of course it isn’t too paranoid. One man said: ‘I’ve never heard of this Keeley, but I already fancy her from your description “20-year-old glamour model”.’ Another reminded me that, despite centuries of evolution and decades of equality, male loins remain strangers to feminism: ‘Testosterone tells no lies. Oestrogen may be more forgiving.’ Before I placed my head in the gas oven, there was just enough time to chat to another man, who gallantly proclaimed that Moss is beautiful but may have been around too long: ‘It gets a bit like fancying the Queen.’
In US literary sensation The Female Brain, scientist Louann Brizendine reaffirms that one of the ways men are different from women (apart from the fact that we talk too much, and they get aggressive too often) is that men have double the amount of interest in sexual pursuit, which colours their decision-making process. She recounts an experiment she conducted where women were given male-level doses of testosterone, and ‘their libidos exploded’.
The male brain makes its decisions through a murky haze of hormonally fuelled desire, while the female brain is often perfectly happy spending an afternoon eating custard creams looking at pictures of Kate in her Ugg boots. (All men getting grumpy about being stereotyped in this way should wait for Brizendine’s next work, The Male Brain , which she will presumably start as soon as she’s sourced enough paper for the pamphlet.)
One wonders if this is just another misogynistic Catch 22 - a woman may be beautiful but not young enough; young, but not beautiful enough. It could just be the Gender Beauty gap - that omnipresent blind spot whereby men often simply don’t ‘get’ the females that women like, and vice versa. There was a time where men and women could safely agree that, say, Ava Gardner was The Sexiest, Most Beautiful Woman on the Planet.
Now it’s not so simple. You get the rare cases such as Jordan straddling both camps - starting off as an exclusively male phenomenon, all breasts and thongs, then cleverly morphing into Katie Price, female survival icon. Sometimes you even get it the other way (Sienna Miller was once a Fashion Miss, now the FHM readers have grabbed her for their Sexiest poll). Ultimately it doesn’t make any difference. You’re always going to get men who have to have it slowly and painfully explained to them why Jennifer Aniston is interesting. The amazing thing is that now we have to explain Kate Moss to them, too. That’s the trouble with the female brain - it’s just not kept near enough to our trousers.

Danish supermodel May Andersen has confirmed she’s dating Kid Rock, adding she thinks the former husband of her namesake, Pamela Anderson , is “really sweet”.
Rock and Andersen were spotted together at last month’s Rock + Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony gala and have since been photographed holding hands at other events. Kid Rock has been coy about romance rumours, but Andersen’s representatives have confirmed the two are an item. 
A spokesman for the model’s 2pm Model Management agency says, “They are indeed dating, but it’s still the early days. She thinks he’s really sweet.”
America’s People magazine claims Kid Rock, real name Robert Ritchie, and Andersen were introduced by two of Andersen’s fellow Danes, Mettallica’s Lars Ulrich and Gladiator actress Connie Nielsen. Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson divorced at the beginning of 2007 after ending their four-month marriage in November 2006.

If the next time you hear Paris Hilton calling a fan a ‘whore’, don’t take offence, for she’s really being complimentary.
As to how this has been discerned, well that’s exactly what she called a fan recently, reports TMZ.com.
A fan of the Hilton hotel heiress recently tracked her down when she was staying at the Roosevelt Hotel, and started screaming “You’re so sexy … I love you sexy, I really love you”.
To which, Paris yelled back, “Hey, whore!”, before blowing a kiss to her female fan.
The ‘Simple Life’ star then hopped into a car in which her posse of pals was waiting and drove off.
Hilton has been in the news lately for her suddenly enhanced bust, igniting rumours that she has under the knife for a boob job.
And, the rumours are so strong that when she turned up at a party recently, it was her assets, and not her, that were the centre of attention all night long.
“Paris looked sensational in a tight top and tiny shorts. Nobody could take their eyes off her boobs. They looked very full and there was plenty of cleavage,” The Sun quoted an onlooker at the party, as saying.
And, it seems that with all the rumours about her boob-job flying around, people were even taking of her breasts on their mobile phones to compare them with Paris’ earlier pictures.
“Lots of people were taking pictures of them on their mobiles,” the source said.
