Wasson, the beach bum, comes visiting

Erin WassonErin Wasson’s career has taken her from a small-time Texas modelling contest to the catwalks of Paris, Milan, London and New York.
Today the 25-year-old supermodel made a curtain call as one of the major drawcards of Australian Fashion Week.
In town to model for Australian cult brand Ksubi, Wasson looked the perfect beach babe at her Sydney media conference, with long tousled hair and a healthy glow.
She appeared alongside Australian Fashion Week impresario Simon Locke and Ksubi designers Dan Single and George Gorrow.
Wasson, teaming black skinny leg jeans with a simple tank top, looked relaxed as she flopped onto her seat.
She said she had spent her morning at the beach after flying into Sydney from Los Angeles only a few hours before.
“It’s great to be here because I’m a beach bum,” she said.
Modelling free of charge for the Ksubi show, Wasson just wants to have some fun.
“I’m down for free, show me a good time, bring the sunshine and that’s that,” she said.
She said she wasn’t put off by the brand’s notorious Fashion Week reputation.
In the past, the Ksubi boys have made models jump into Sydney Harbour, covered them in blood and even let 200 rats loose down the runway.
“Rat city, what’s the big deal?” Wasson said.
A native Texan, Wasson discovered the modelling scene when her father entered her in Dallas modelling contest - and she won.
Since then, she has appeared on the covers of all the leading fashion magazines, including American Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire, and Allure and has starred in campaigns for Escada, Gucci, Valentino, Chanel and Giorgio Armani.

Tyra Banks: Finally Finding Love?

Tyra BanksThe love life of America’s Next Top Model creator, Tyra Banks, has often been the subject of the media. Whether it’s because of her controversial pair-ups or her being loveless, the press just keeps on digging up dish about the former supermodel.
Banks’ latest “romance” hype, according to the New York Post, is her being seen at Club 66 in Midtown with Knicks coach Isiah Thomas. In addition, she was Thomas’ courtside guest at the final Knicks home game of the season. While Thomas’ rep maintains that Thomas and the America’s Next Top Model host are just “old family friends,” many are speculating that there might be more to it than just a platonic relationship.
On the other hand, this is just all rumors until either party confirms the actual status of their relationship. Meanwhile, Banks has admitted to the fact that she aspires to get married and have a family of her own. But while these things seem attainable for the 33-year old TV personality, she considers her fame and stardom to be a big hindrance to her finding Mr. Right and settling down.
After launching her own talk show, The Tyra Banks Show, her drive in getting into a serious relationship weakened. “I want to get married and have kids but the more successful I get, the less interested guys are… I was like, ‘It’s going to be so much easier now because they’re going to see that I’m normal and goofy,’ but it’s worse,” she said.
Apart from being the creator and host of America’s Next Top Model, Banks is also known as an author, actress, singer and executive producer. She is also famous for being an original Victoria’s Secret Angel and a high profile print and runway model that has graced the covers of Sports Illustrated, Elle, Cosmopolitan and Seventeen.

Naomi Campbell Is Sober And Smiling

Naomi Campbell
Naomi Campbell has turned over a new leaf since her last assault charge.
She was once the mean girl of modeling, just as famous for her strut as her temper, but now she is channeling a more peaceful lifestyle.
The international supermodel has revealed what may be behind her new attitude - saying no to alcohol.
Naomi, who has had alleged drug problems in the past, says she no longer drinks alcohol when she parties and is a happier person because of it.
According to BreakingNews.ie, she said, “I choose not to drink today in my life because I find that I’m allergic to alcohol. I’m not someone that’s in denial of my problems and I’m not going to lie about my problems and I’m not hiding my problems. I have more energy and I have more fun than when I was drinking and I can hang out really late and get up early in the morning with no hangovers and still smile.”
Smiling is something that Naomi is doing a lot more of these days. Gone are the angry outbursts at personal assistants and now it is all about making friends.
Naomi has even been able to forgive and forget The Daily Mail newspaper editor Piers Morgan. The model sued the publication after it published photos of her leaving a drugs counseling session.
But, Naomi told Prestige Hong Kong magazine, “I don’t hold grudges and had moved on. Three years later when we did sit down, I felt we were two human beings who actually shared something pretty big in common, a very high-profile court case,” she said. “I found it really interesting, particularly since I also got the opportunity to ask Piers a few questions and make him sweat a bit.”
