She has also appeared on the front of Italian Vogue and the May 2007 American issue, with a crop of fellow new supermodels.
New York-based Laura attended All Saints Catholic Language College, in Rawtenstall and Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School Sixth Form, in Waterfoot.
advertisementShe studied A levels in maths, business studies and theatre studies, before leaving in 2001.
Her rise to the top began after she left Rossendale for London with friend Henry Holland, who she met while working at the chippy.
She was spotted by a model scout and Henry went on to found the design company House of Holland, stocked in Barneys and Harvey Nichols.

Ex-lovers James Blunt and Petra Nemcova are struggling to avoid each other at the Cannes Film Festival - because they keep getting invited to the same parties. Blunt and Nemcova split in February after a nine month romance and the You’re Beautiful singer has since been linked to a string of women.
When Blunt arrived at jeweler De Grisogono’s party at the Hotel Eden Roc on Tuesday, he was distressed to hear the Czech model was already at the venue and refused to be in the same room as her.
British newspaper The Sun reports Nemcova was also frustrated to hear of her ex’s presence, saying, “Don’t even talk to me about James. I just want to enjoy myself tonight.”

Hotel Heiress Paris Hilton has decided to turn to Buddhism in another lame attempt to avoid going to jail.
The troubled socialite - who has been sentenced to 23 days in jail (reduced from 45) for driving with a suspended license - was seen in Hollywood’s Bodhi Tree bookstore picking up a spiritual tome.
Earlier this week, Paris was spotted clutching the Bible and a self-help manual.
Lawyers for Hilton have told her she needs to “live like a nun” if she has any chance of evading jail.
Paris has told friends she is quitting alcohol and partying and has replaced her skimpy outfits with a new demure look.
She also recently made a public show of playing the loyal daughter by visiting her father Rick in hospital with a huge get well soon card.
A friend of the star said: “Paris’ attorneys have insisted she live like a nun. She has been strictly advised to stop acting like a Hollywood brat and appear more humble as they battle to keep her out of jail.
“They have ordered her to show a judge she has some humility and social responsibility if she is going to have her sentence reduced on appeal. That means no booze, no parading round in skimpy outfits, no partying. She’s got to stick with her family and take on a healthier regime.”
Paris is due to begin her sentence at California’s female-only Century Regional Detention Centre in Lynwood on June 5.

Supermodel Helena Christensen feels sorry for catwalk pal Kate Moss and is glad she doesn’t have to put with such invasive media attention.
The Danish beauty is delighted she is not constantly scrutinised in the newspapers - and doesn’t know how Moss puts up with it all.
She tells Closer magazine, “I’m so grateful I don’t live like that. I’d end up smacking the camera back in the paparazzi’s faces!”
