Brazilian supermodel, Alessandra Ambrosio, has achieved an envious modelling career, which has lasted 11 years, with no end in sight.
The whole world is familiar with the fact that some of the most beautiful women come from Brazil.
Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, who was described by the “retired” Tyra Banks as the future of the modelling world, is not an exception.
Alessandra is one of the Brazilian models who became famous during the end of the 90s, with Gisele Bundchen, Adriana Lima and Ana Beatriz Barros. This year, she was ranked in fifth position in FHM’s list of sexiest women, and chosen as one of the most beautiful women of the year by People Magazine.
Alessandra Ambrosio was born in a small Brazilian town called Erexim, on the 11th April 1981, and also has Italian and Polish blood. As a young girl, she wanted to be a model after she saw a photograph of the model Karen Mulder on a front cover, and wanted to be like her. However she was unsure of herself because of the look of her ears, which she operated then. The operation left a bad memory with her, so she does not even think about any other operations.
She was launched into fashion orbit by winning the Elite Model Look 1996, when she was only 15. After that she competed for the international Look of the Year, and even though she did not win, the fashion agency Elite offered her a contract. Since then, Alessandra is one of the most pronounced models for Victoria’s Secret, Next and Armani A/X. Her first modelling job was for the cover of Elle magazine, and soon after that Guess? hired her for their 2000 campaign. After that job, other big names battled for her, like Revlon, Armani, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren, and she decorated numerous covers of fashion magazines.
As far as catwalks are concerned, Alessandra “walked” in clothing from: Laura Biagiotti, Christian Lacroix, Fendi, Dior, Oscar de la Renta and many others.
Since 2001 she regularly performs at fashion shows wearing Victoria’s Secret, and since Gisele Bundchen left the company, it is expected that Alessandra will become the next biggest star at Victoria’s Secret.

Fans of Eva Herzigova may have to make do without her supermodeling services for some time to come. The 9-months pregnant former face of the Wonderbra campaign admitted at Valentino’s Chopard Party that she has gained 25 pounds so far, and she is in no hurry to lose the baby weight.
‘I love being fat. I don’t have any modeling work lined up after the birth. I’m hoping to have a natural birth in France and after that, who knows?’
The baby — a boy — will be the first child for Eva and boyfriend Gregorio Marsiaj, and is due the first week of June.

Diamond heiress and sometime actress, Zeta Graff, who has filed out a slander suit against Paris Hilton, has lashed out at the socialite’s attempts to postpone the case claiming that she is ‘emotionally distraught and traumatized’ by her impending imprisonment.Graff, who filed the 10 million dollars suit in 2005 alleging Hilton of spreading lies about her, said that if Hilton can party in the nights, then should be able to turn up for the trial.
“If Ms. Hilton was night clubbing on Saturday night, she should not have been representing to the court on Monday morning that she was unable to participate in the trial,” E! Online quoted her, as saying.
“Ms. Hilton should be required to explain her actions and account for them. Under the law, even Ms. Hilton is supposed to be held accountable for her actions,” she added.
Last week, Dr. Charles Sophy, a psychiatrist, who examined Hilton, testified in the court that the ‘Simple Life’ star isn’t in a condition to face a trial, and that forcing her to face the trial would ‘exacerbate her current mental condition’. Judge Linda Lefkowitz postponed the trial date from May 21 to August 22.
Graff sued the 26-year-old for spreading vicious lies about her after the two indulged in an altercation at London’s Kabaret nightclub.
According to reports, in 2005, when Graff saw Hilton and Hilton’s then fiancé Paris Latsis, who was hooked to Graff, at the club, she went “berserk” after seeing them and tried to choke Hilton and steal her 4 million dollar diamond necklace.

Troubled rock star Pete Doherty showed off his footballing skills today as part of the Celebrity Soccer Six tournament - and was cheered on by his number one fan, Kate Moss.
Supermodel Moss turned up to watch the Babyshambles frontman lead his band against teams of TV and music personalities at the event at West Ham’s Upton Park ground in London. Among the celebrities taking to the field were Razorlight, boy band Eton Road, Donny Tourette and his band Towers of London, Brian McFadden, Angus Deayton, and stars of ‘Hollyoaks’, ‘Shipwrecked’ and ‘Big Brother’.
And in the women’s teams, the stars of ‘Wags Boutique’, ‘Bad Girls’, ‘Beauty and the Geek’ and ‘Shipwrecked’ were joined by Bianca Gascoigne, Caprice, Big Brother’s Imogen Thomas and Michelle Heaton and Kelli from Liberty X.
The celebrities turned out for the 20th Soccer Six tournament to raise money and awareness for the Samaritans.
Begun in 1995, Soccer Six has attracted stars including Jude Law, Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Cat Deeley, Ant and Dec, Westlife, Rod Stewart, and a team from Radio 1 over the years.
On one famous occasion spectators witnessed a showdown between rival bands Oasis and Blur - who were also battling it out in the charts at the time. Since Soccer Six first kicked off at Mile End stadium 12 years ago, competitions have been played at major football grounds around the country, including Anfield, St James Park, Stamford Bridge, Goodison Park, Villa Park and the Madjeski stadium.

Supermodel Eva Herzigova is set to ditch the catwalk - to become a movie director. Herzigova - who is eight months pregnant with her first child by boyfriend Gregorio Marsiaj - will turn her back on the glamorous world of fashion to write a film based on her life, but is determined to stay firmly behind the camera.
She says, “I found acting as unfulfilling as modeling, really. I’m working on directing my first feature film at the moment which I’m going to get started on as soon as the baby is born, in two weeks’ time. It’ll be semi-autobiographical, about a beautiful model who goes through difficult and painful moments as she makes her way in the world.
“I don’t think I’ll be able to star in, though - that might be a little too much to handle at one time.”

Britain’s Next Top Model wannabe and WAG Abbey Clancy is turning her back on the UK to pursue catwalk stardom in the US. The 21-year-old girlfriend of Liverpool striker Peter Crouch was filmed for a new programme called Beauty And The Beast.
Ms Clancy is being groomed for international success by none other than the self-proclaimed original supermodel Janice Dickinson, who claimed she was keen to work with Abbey. She said: “Abbey is the type of person you want to get your hands on because Abbey can ride with the punches. She’s a tomboy, she’s clever - I think she’s going to be a very gifted actress.”
It’s not all glamour though as Ms Clancey wasn’t exactly ready to be introduced to Ms Dickinson when the supermodel arrived in Liverpool. The 21-year-old said: “Basically when I first met Janice I was sitting at home in pyjamas with toast crumbs around my mouth and she knocked on the door. It was a total surprise.”

Milla Jovovich has stalled her wedding to director Paul W.S. Anderson because she doesn’t want to be a pregnant bride. The couple was planning to wed later this year, but now the nuptials have been put on hold.
The actress/model says, “I don’t want to do a white-trash wedding with a big belly.”
The star and director are expecting their first child this autumn.

Simple Life sisters Nicole Richie & Paris Hilton are featured in Harper’s Bazaar June issue. They actually look realy elegant in the photo spread … The cover is really cute, Nicole & Paris with their cute dogs!
In the interview, Paris talks about why she thinks she gets pulled over by the police a lot … here’s what she said: “I think I get in more trouble just because of who I am. The cops do it all the time. They’ll just pull me over to hit on me. It’s really annoying. They’re like, ‘What’s your phone number? Want to go to dinner?’ They just pull me over, and the paparazzi, of course, take a picture. All the time. I have so many cops’ business cards.”
That’s so typical of Paris!
As for Nicole, she was asked what she thinks of being famous for nothing! Here’s what she said: “My plan was not to be a celebrity. My plan was to be a singer and an entertainer. I wanted to go to NYU, major in musical theater, do Broadway, and come out with an album. Unfortunately, I started f***ing up when I was in my teens.”

German model/actress/singer Heidi Klum has reportedly been signed as the new face of clothing company Jordache. She will also remain Victoria’s Secret Angel for another season of ‘Project Runway’. The 33-year-old was recently shot by ‘Rush Hour’ director Brett Ratner at Chateau Marmont in L.A for the company new campaign. The shooting was for Jordache’s new jeans line. According to a source the pictures that were shot are ’stunning’, the New York Post reports.
The company manufactures apparel including shirts, jeans, and outerwear. The brand is known for its designer jeans that were popular in the late 1970s.

The Cannes Film Festival is in full force and everyone in Hollywood is in the small French town. The town isn’t big enough for Hollywood run ins.
According to reports, Pamela Anderson and her latest squeeze headed to a Playboy party last night at the trendy disco “The VIP Room”. All was well for Pamela but not for her ex-husband Kid Rock.
Sources reveal that Kid immediately left the joint when he heard his ex-wife had arrived. Kid was apparently enjoying his night with current girlfriend May Anderson but had to cut it short. Looks like there might be some tension between these two. If y’all remember Kid and Pamela got married last summer in St. Tropez which isn’t very far from Cannes and their marriage didn’t last more than a Hollywood minute.
