Claudia Schiffer is launching her own range of jewellery.
The German supermodel is designing a collection of trinkets which are due to be available later this year.
Schiffer – who has two children, four-year-old son Caspar Matthew and daughter Clementine de Vere Drummond, two, with her film producer husband Matthew Vaughn – said: “I’ve been very busy designing all the pieces.”
The 36-year-old beauty, who lives in London with her family, is not the first supermodel to turn her hand to designing.
Kate Moss and Elle Macpherson have released their own clothing lines, both of which have been commercial successes.
Moss received a reported ?3 million from British high street chain Topshop to create a range for its stores.
Before the range was launched in May, the catwalk beauty admitted she isn’t a natural fashion designer but agreed to work with Topshop because she was tired of high street retailers copying her style.

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen has stepped into the debate over birth control and sexual behavior in Brazil, saying Church opposition to condom use was ridiculous and women should have the right to choose on abortion.
Gisele is idolized by many young women in Brazil, the world’s largest Roman Catholic country, where debate over sexual issues has intensified around a visit by Pope Benedict last month.
The Pope stressed the Church’s firm opposition to abortion and contraception and railed against sex outside of marriage.
The Brazilian beauty, one of the world’s top models, told Folha de S.Paulo newspaper in an interview that when the Church made its laws centuries ago, women were expected to be virgins.
“Today no one is a virgin when they get married … show me someone who’s a virgin!” she said.
Asked about abortion, she said a woman should have the right to choose what is best for her.
“If she thinks she doesn’t have the money or the emotional condition to raise a child, why should she give birth?”
Gisele, who had just arrived from New York to take part in Rio de Janeiro’s Fashion Week, also defended condom use.
“It’s ridiculous to ban contraceptives — you only have to think of the diseases that are transmitted without them. I think it should be compulsory to use a contraceptive.” The Brazilian government has clashed with the church over anti-AIDS programs in which it distributes millions of free condoms and Health Minister Jose Temporao has called for a national referendum on abortion.
Other Brazilian celebrities have fallen foul of the Vatican over sex issues. Singer Daniela Mercury was banned from performing at a Vatican Christmas concert in 2005 because she took part in a campaign promoting condom use to prevent AIDS.
She denied rumors she was pregnant.
“Of course I want to have a family in the future. But not at this moment.”

Supermodel Helena Christensen is planning to open a clothing boutique in London, despite already being rushed off her feet with her two stores in New York.
The Danish beauty currently runs an antique shop and the clothing store, Butik, in Manhattan, and is planning to expand her business with a new shop in London’s trendy Notting Hill area.
She says, “Many of our best customers are British, so it makes sense to open our second shop here. Notting Hill would be ideal.
“There are just two of us in New York, so it’s hard work. But we’re keen to move the business on.”

Paris Hilton’s mother Kathy is adament her daughter will emerge from her 23-day prison term “a better person”, and is doing everything she can to support the jailed heiress.
The Simple Life star began her jail term at the Century Regional Detention Center on Sunday night (03Jun07), after violating her probation following a 2006 drink-driving arrest.
And while Kathy Hilton was fighting back the tears as she accompanied the 26-year-old to jail at the weekend, she is confident Paris will learn from her mistakes.
Hilton’s publicist Elliot Mintz tells the New York Post, “Kathy is very emotional. She wanted to exhibit strength for her daughter.
“She thought it was the most important thing to do. She thinks Paris will emerge from this a better person.”

Sarah Silverman ripped into socialite Paris Hilton during the MTV Movie Awards right before Paris turned herself in to authorities to begin serving her sentence at a Los Angeles County jail. While Silverman zinged Paris, she was spotted going from a smile to a frown in the audience while celebs around her roared with laughter. Now Paris is coming back strong at Silverman dropping F-bombs on the comedienne.
According to a report from Us Weekly magazine Hilton was overheard fuming, “She’s a f-bomb bitch. I hate her.” Hilton went from a bright smile to a very noticeable stone faced frown after Silverman joked about Hilton’s jail stay. MTV nabbed the sour look on camera.
Us notes that t Hilton checked into the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, at 11:15 p.m. on June 3 to begin her sentence. “She was quiet,” a source tells Us Weekly. After a medical screening, Hilton – in an orange uniform – entered her 100-square-foot cell at 1:30 a.m. on June 4.
More jail news for Paris: A maintenance guy tells the New York Post that Paris was spared the humiliating probe — “She didn’t have to spread ‘em,” — and sources tell the Post that the booking area was cleared when Paris checked in, which didn’t endear Hilton to her fellow inmates. Still, yesterday, lest you think that she’s getting special treatment; deputies rejected a couple deliveries for Paris, including a dozen roses and a fruit basket.

Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore is a big fan of British designers and is eager to buy supermodel Kate Moss’ debut designs.
According to contactmusic.com, Moss has an exclusive range of clothes for the British high-end chain store Topshop, one of Barrymore’s favourite shopping destinations in Britain.
She says: ‘Let’s talk about British fashion. I’ve so checked out Kate’s clothes. I’m just like every other woman in the world who thinks Kate Moss is super-stylish. I love to see the clothes she wears.’
‘I was really excited about her Topshop range. I’ve seen a few pieces in magazines and I think it all looks amazing. I’d definitely love to have a closer look,’ the 32-year-old blonde superstar added.
