AUSTRALIAN Catherine McNeil who is becoming one of the world’s hottest models, has become the brand ambassador for Australian swimwear label Seafolly.
She has also been praised by Vogue magazine’s highly influential editor Anna Wintour, according to McNeil’s New-York based agent, Stephen Lee, who recently met with Ms Wintour.
“In the meeting, Anna said she wants Catherine to be an absolute, total Vogue girl,” Mr Lee says.
“No Harpers or anything else, just Vogue. Anna says Catherine epitomises everything that Vogue wants to stand for now.”
Seafolly MD Anthony Halas agrees.
“Catherine McNeil is the most significant brand ambassador signing in Seafolly’s 33-year history and is an international brand coup,” he says.
McNeil, who is living in New York, says the sizzling shoot was great fun.
“It was great being back home, as we shot on Lizard Island. And I still love Australia — there’s no question about that,” she says.

Jefferson Hack found former girlfriend Kate Moss’s liberal attitudes to sex hard to stomach – but the magazine publisher was happy for his fiancee, Belgian model Anouck Lepere, to strip for French Playboy.
‘Jefferson thinks the shoot is amazing,’ says my mole. ‘He was on set making sure Anouck’s shots were tasteful and artistic.
‘He has idolised Playboy founder Hugh Hefner for years – Hef was his inspiration to start his own magazine Dazed & Confused.
He jokes he wants his nickname to be Jef in homage to the legend.’

Student days are often lean times for many. But you wouldn’t have thought a supermodel would have to scrimp and save.
Lily Cole looks like she’s preparing for a cash-strapped university life by making dresses out of curtains.
Even if she didn’t have a Luis Vuitton she might have been able to afford more than a plastic carrier bag. And those flip flops do not look like Jimmy Choo’s
Perhaps she is off to a 1970s party – but where did she get that dress? Lily’s bosses at Marks and Spencer have had a reputation for creating frumpy dresses but even they wouldn’t have decked her out in this one.
The 20-year-old was caught out and about in this hippy-style ensemble in East Village, New York, this week. 
Devon-born Lily recently announced she will put her movie career on hold to study social and political sciences at Cambridge University’s King’s College later this year.
She has already taken two gap years and just finished filming Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium Of Dr Parnassus.
She will concentrate on modeling over the summer before starting on her course.
Lily achieved straight As in her A-levels, gaining top grades in English, philosophy and ethics, and politics at Latymer Upper School in West London.
Unfortunately, the normally glamorous Lily does not score an A for this outfit.

Flamboyant Renault F1 boss Flavio Briatore married top model Elisabetta Gregoraci in lavish style here Saturday serenaded by British pop group Duran Duran.
F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone himself witnessed the union along with Benetton group chairman Luciano Benetton and right-wing politician Daniela Santanche, while the more than 300 guests also included Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Spain’s former prime minister Jose Maria Aznar.
French Cardinal Paul Poupard celebrated what the Italian press has dubbed the “wedding of the year,” uniting the 58-year-old playboy and Gregoraci, 28, in the 12th-century Santo Spirito in Sassia near the Vatican.
“I’m as excited as if a Grand Prix race was starting,” Briatore was quoted as saying, with press reports noting that his bride had coaxed him towards faith, along with a health scare in 2006, when kidney cancer was averted through an early diagnosis.
Some 500 hours went into creating the gown worn by Gregorachi, a former Miss Calabria, the Italian press reported.
Afterward, Briatore’s Spanish protege Fernando Alonso drove the newlyweds to the reception at the Castello di Torcrescenza, a sumptuous castle residence just north of Rome.
Festivities had began Friday with a dinner at the posh Casina Valadier, and were to continue Saturday.
Briatore, one of the richest men in Formula One, was behind the emergence of Michael Schumacher with Benetton in the 1990s and Alonso with Renault.
The unabashed party animal and quintessential Italian playboy has chalked up an impressive array of romantic conquests including Naomi Campbell, Nicole Kidman, Heidi Klum and Vanessa Kelly.

Date George Clooney . . . make a career step.
What will a short dating stint with George Clooney get you? Apparently, a foot in the door as a model. Sarah Larson, who allegedly split with Clooney in May, has now been made the face of designer Christian Audigier’s new line, WENN reports.
Larson will be modeling a new line of couture dresses. “She is a fresh, elegant and classy girl. I saw her on a red carpet and liked her style and European look,” praises Audigier on his latest find.
The actress’s agent – Kenya Knight – sees things in a simpler fashion. “Sarah was picked by Christian Audigier because she looks fabulous in everything she wears,” she raves about her client.
Larson had a photo shoot for the ad on Friday in Los Angeles. The campaign featuring Larson is set to be revealed in late June.
