CATHERINE McNeil is living up to her reputation as one of the world’s hottest models.
Signed up as the brand ambassador for Australian swimwear label Seafolly, she has also been given the seal of approval by Vogue’s legendary New York magazine editor, Anna Wintour.
That’s according to McNeil’s New York-based agent Stephen Lee, who had just come from a meeting with Ms Wintour when he was contacted by The Sunday Telegraph.
“In the meeting, Anna said she wants Catherine to be an absolute, total Vogue girl,” Mr Lee said.
“No Harper’s or anying else - just Vogue. Anna says Catherine epitomises everything that Vogue wants to stand for now.”
Seafolly MD Anthony Halas backs up the praise.
“Catherine McNeil is the most significant brand ambassador signing in Seafolly’s 33-year history and is an international brand coup,” he said.
McNeil, who said she was enjoying living in New York, said the sizzling shoot was great fun.
“It was great being back home,” she said. I still love Australia, there’s no question about that.”

She may have forged a lucrative career from her model looks but Agyness Deyn’s legs are anything but.
The 25-year-old, who is often hailed as Kate Moss’s successor, showed off a pair of unsightly pins yesterday while arriving for a gig in London’s Hammersmith area.
Deyn’s bruised and pale legs looked a world away from the type usually seen strutting down the catwalk.

With a guitar strapped to her back and sporting a pair of cut-off denim shorts and unmissable yellow socks, Deyn was clearly more in rock-star mode than looking like one of the world’s most in-demand models.
The Manchester-born blonde has been making the most of her time in London since splitting with guitarist boyfriend Josh Hubbard last week.
The couple were together for four years and lived together in New York.
However recent reports have linked the singer/model with another rock musician Anthony Ellis, the frontman of Five O’Clock Heroes, with whom she has recorded a single.
“Agy’s great and we’ve been friends a long time.
“I wanted her to sing for us ages ago,” Ellis said.
Deyn will join the band on stage this summer.
Last week Deyn was spotted on a series of nights out in the capital, often looking the worse-for-wear as she partied till the early hours.
