Kate Moss chooses daring see-through dress for evening out with daughter Lila Grace

Kate Moss
Kate Moss clearly has no plans to age gracefully.
The model opted for her most outrageous look yet as she stepped out in a sheer polka dot maxi dress, leaving little to the imagination, which revealed her bra-less chest.
And she also appeared to be completely without underwear underneath the risqué gown, despite being accompanied on a rare public outing by daughter Lila Grace, 5.
Kate Moss
Boyfriend Jamie Hince was also along for the ride, although his outfit of black jeans and leather jacket seemed somewhat conservative alongside his exhibitionist girlfriend.
However, this was not her usual West End haunt, nor trendy Hoxton where such outfits are de rigeur.
Kate rocked up to the opening of the exhibition of photographs by late fashion photographer Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, in the Turkish city of Istanbul, dressed in the ethnic influenced dress, which she accessorised with huge silver gypsy-style earrings, and a silver coin bracelet.
Kate Moss
The secular country has a long Islamic tradition, with around 94 per cent of the population are Muslim.
Luckily for Kate Turkish society is modern and predominantly secular, so European dress styles prevail.
But maybe a see-through dress without underwear isn’t quite what the Turks had in mind.
However clearly this didn’t deter her from drawing the maximum attention for her ‘brief-less’ appearance at the exhibition.
Moss is currently on the cover of US fashion bible W magazine, in a new Bruce Weber photoshoot.
The July 08 cover sees her sandwiched between models Daria Werbowy and Lara Stone in a typically raunchy shoot from Weber.

Karolina Kurkova plays Covergirl in G.I.Joe

Karolina Kurkova
VICTORIA’S Secret lingerie model Karolina Kurkova plays Covergirl in Paramount Pictures’ G.I.Joe movie but her costume couldn’t be less covergirl-ish.
Promotional photos show Victoria’s Secret angel dressed in ugly grey army fatigues - just when did authenticity get a role in action fantasy with a lingerie model?
No wonder some disappointment has been expressed by the boy-bloggers and fans of G.I.Joe.
Information about the movie is sketchy, with even the industry Bible of film production imdb.com still listing Brendan Fraser on its cast list - a fact which Robert Sanchez of www.iesb.net has announced is wrong, after visiting the set.
Sanchez says he was one of only six members of the media allowed to visit the Downey Studios this week - though his interviews with the cast have been embargoed.
Instead he writes on his blog about the studio location - which was once used by NASA to construct different vehicles for the Apollo Space Program and for the building of the Space Shuttles Columbia, Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis and Endeavor.
Again with the authenticity?
The script is co-written by Sydney’s Stuart Beattie, who wrote Baz Luhrman’s Australia and the three Pirates of the Caribbean screenplays.
But lets get it straight, for those of us who might think that G.I.Joe is a character, G.I.Joe stands for Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity - a unit of black operatives who operate out of a headquarters called The Pit.
And the G.I.Joes go by loveable names such as Duke, Snake Eyes, and General Hawk.
Apart from Robert Sanchez’s ravings about the sets, it appears that concern is that the casting of Dennis Quaid and the rubber outfits are signs that the movie will turn out a little camp.
But Ray Park, who played Darth Maul in Phantom Menace, does play Snake Eyes.
Paramount released a few photos of cast in black rubber costumes a while back which met with cool to disappointed responses from online G.I.Joe fans.
The latest photos were of Sienna Miller on set in her black rubber suit.
There’s not a lot of compliments in the online community of potential theatre-goers - apart from the ravings of Robert Sanchez for iesb.net.
Not that Paramount will be worried about one flop next year, as Variety’s Anne Thompson reports in her blog, the studio raked in $1 billion on the back of a year of blockbusters including: Indiana Jones, Kung Fu Panda, Iron Man, and the No Country For Old Men, which won an Oscar for Best Film.

Kate Moss “Seriously Worried” About Rhys Ifans After Sienna Miller Split

Kate Moss
Supermodel Kate Moss is said to be “seriously worried” for pal Rhys Ifans following his recent split from Sienna Miller.
The catwalk queen, 34, is so concerned about the Human Nature star’s welfare, she has reportedly set up a ‘Rhys Rally’ club to cheer the 39-year-old up, including pals, Sadie Frost and Pearl Lowe.
A source reveals, “Everyone is seriously worried about Rhys.”
The insider adds that after recent pictures showed Rhys slumped on a curb drinking alone, “Kate seemed beside herself.”
Rhys spent a few nights with mother-of-one Moss just after the break-up — but he seemed to be in denial, insisting he could “fix” things between himself and the Alfie actress.

Wonderbra invites volunteers for sexy photo shoot

Eva HerzigovaTen years ago, Eva Herzigova caused controversy and car crashes with her iconic Wonderbra advert. Now, it seems, if you want to flog underwear, it’s all about saying hello to baps, jugs, bangers and melons.
Whatever shape or size, 1,000 women are being asked to take part in what could be Britain’s biggest lingerie photo shoot.
They are being recruited using a cheeky ad, which celebrates female ‘diversity’ by flashing pictures of, among others, coconuts, fried eggs, milk jugs and puppies.
‘Advertising has changed since the “Hello Boys” campaign. Today, it is not about talking at your market, it is about involving them in the creation of the marketing,’ said a spokeswoman for advertising group Iris.
‘We have created a campaign that culminates in the biggest collection of cleavages in Britain.’
Volunteers are being asked to audition on June 28.

Supermodel talks about relationship with football star

Gisele Bundchen
Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen has spoken openly about her romance with NFL quarterback Tom Brady in a new magazine expose.
The catwalk stunner started dating the New England Patriots star shortly after he split from pregnant actress Bridget Moynahan, but neither she nor Brady have opened up about their courtship.
The former Victoria’s Secret pin-up tells the upcoming issue of GQ magazine, “I think we have a lot of things in common, and I think he is a really great person.”
“He really genuinely doesn’t have a bad bone in his body. And he is a very positive person.”
Bundchen admits she and her man were brought together by a mutual friend: “We met through a friend who knew us both for a long time.”
“Our friend knew that we would like each other. And we did. So I guess he was right.”

Where Have All The Models Gone?

Kate MossThe year is 1988. Kate Moss has just been discovered and will soon join the ranks of such supermodels as Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, and Linda Evangelista. Fashion, however neon-and-spandex laden it may be, is represented by uniquely beautiful women trained to strut, smile, and pose their hearts out. Magazine covers, drugstore makeup ads, couture ads, television commercials—the supermodel rules all. They represent and epitomize glamour and chic, and why not? It’s their job, after all.
While these women are not the first supermodels—just ask Janice Dickinson—theirs will later be referred to as “the era of the supermodel,” “the trinity,” “the union.” They are supermodels perfected, following in the stiletto-clad footsteps of Twiggy, Cheryl Tiegs, Beverly Johnson, and before them Lisa Fonssagrives. Moss will become revolutionary in no time, becoming the shortest model to do runway and the face of the heroin-chic movement that will make the 1990s as seedy-glam as any scene out of Warhol’s factory. Over the next two decades she will represent Calvin Klein, Chanel, Rimmel, Burberry, a top-shelf model representing top-shelf designers.
Flash forward to 2008. Moss, while still arguably the most stylish woman on the planet, has turned fashion designer for British discount chain TopShop. She has recently been replaced as the face of Coco Mademoiselle by Keira Knightley, an A-list actress, who will soon after be replaced (allegedly) by Emma Watson, a B-list actress known primarily for her role in the Harry Potter series. Meanwhile, the classic No. 5 has gone from ultimate status symbol to revered subject of 1960s pop art to a chance for the likes of Nicole Kidman and Audrey Tautou to extend their resumes.
Pick up any magazine. Who is that on the cover? Oh, right, she was in that shitty movie. Moving on. Um, is that Paris Hilton for Guess? She’s not a model. She doesn’t even really have a job. Well, enough of this, perhaps the real fashion world has gone electronic. Let’s see. Design your own “couture” dress online. Register to see Amy Winehouse for Fendi, and even Lindsay Lohan is designing leggings for Fred Segal. Half the stars of “The Hills” are now designing clothes that get sold at respectable stores like Intuition. Hair extensions by Jessica Simpson.
So where have all the models gone? Well, you can find a good number of them on reality television shows, from Tyra to Janice to Heidi Klum—even Twiggy did a stint on “Top Model.” And the new girls on the block, ethereal beauties like Gemma Ward and Agyness Deyn, are astonishingly anonymous by those outside the fashion world, mostly because the majority of commercial modeling is now reserved for singer-actress-self-promoter types who have “always dreamed of being a model and designer and perfumer… ” But don’t worry, because while the models are busy acting, a slew of actresses will be happy to sell you mascara in between episodes of “Project Runway.”
And the real designers? My guess is they’ve taken shelter under a rock somewhere—all right, probably a finely polished diamond—to lament the death of fashion and the fall of the supermodel. Where they used to find inspiration in beautiful women with natural style and a great ability to strut in six-inch heels, the greats are left with little to be inspired by. Marc Jacobs admitted quite readily that his demure, boxy fall collection is the result of lack of inspiration. So if you find haute couture cowering beneath some runway in its LBD, let it know the world has gone to hell in a hand basket designed by some eighteen-year-old singer-cum-actress-cum-model-cum-designer, and that what the world needs now is a hero, a superhero. Or at least a supermodel.
