Supermodel Kate Moss watched her fiancé Jamie Hince’s band, The Kills, perform a mere two songs yesterday at an easygoing Electric Picnic.
Moss arrived incognito at the side of the stage to watch 40-year-old Hince perform.
Sporting what on onlookers described as ‘a ridiculous blonde curly wig,’ a black and white fury jacket and dark black sunglasses, the 34-year-old catwalk queen watched the band perform just two of their hits at the stage in the Crawdaddy tent at about 5pm yesterday evening.
But even though Kate’s outfit failed to fool the majority of spectators, all eyes were on the gorgeous Kills’ guitar player, rock chic Alison Mosshart.
‘I don’t know what Jamie is doing with Kate, Alison is far better looking,’ one fan commented towards the end of the show as the performance by Alison and Jamie became racier.
Earlier in the day, veteran Irish Hollywood actor Patrick Bergin’s poetry reading failed to impress. The Dubliner roused a poor reaction from the crowd at the festival’s innovative ’spoken word’ tent.
However, the muted response seemed not to faze the 57-year-old Robin Hood star and following the performance he told the Irish Mail on Sunday that he was pleased with how his recital went - but then again, Duffy was also on.
Up-and-coming soul singer Laura Izibor was also well received.
Elsewhere, the festival was far from a traditional a rock’n'roll event, with no serious injuries or assaults reported, and no major drug- related arrests.
Garda Inspector Martin Cashin told the MoS: ‘We are extremely happy with the conduct of the crowd, and everyone is being very well behaved. There have been no major drug arrests and only a few cautions have been handed out.
‘So, on the whole, it has been a successful day.’
Co. Meath-born singer Lisa Hannigan was the Irish star of the show last night with her performance in the Crawdaddy tent leaving fans screaming for more.
Today is the last day of the festival. The headline act, the once-notorious Sex Pistols are expected to be onstage at about 10.30pm.
The line up also includes the Dublin Gospel Choir, and the rather less godly Sinéad O’Connor.
And revellers just might be in luck, as the heavens are not expected to open up for the remainder of the day.

Former Ranger Ron Greschner says his supermodel ex-wife, Carol Alt, is using a civil suit to get at his financial papers and leak the info to associates.
In court papers filed Friday, Greschner says he has moved on since their 2001 divorce, but Alt hasn’t.
“I have since remarried and have five children, and I believe that she continues to harbor resentment towards me and the desire to have information about me,” Greschner wrote to Manhattan Federal Judge Colleen McMahon.
“I am very concerned that if Ms. Alt is privy to any information about my financial status or dealings she will publicize it to these so-called acquaintances.”
Alt sued Greschner last year, claiming she is owed a share of $18 million from the 1999 liquidation of stock.
He has agreed to turn over some tax returns but is asking McMahon to shoot down Alt’s request for financial information from the past eight years.
“As a former professional hockey player, I do have the opportunity to participate in events and do public relations activities,” he wrote. “Gossip can never be helpful to that effort.”

Naomi Campbell is rumored to have her own clothing line. She reportedly inked a deal with 284, which is a new line from the Sao Paolo-based retailer Daslu.
Naomi tells a Brazilian newspaper that the line is designed for strong women. Like strong women who like to throw their BlackBerries at people? Or does she mean a different kind of stong…

Stop whatever you’re dong immediately! This isn’t just important news, this is VITAL! Kate Moss has lifted the lid on one of the biggest secrets the world has ever known. She chose a seemingly-innocuous chat with ‘Interview’ magazine (the one where she mentioned the time she snogged Frank Sinatra) to make the revelation which now means that history books are redundant and that this planet will never be quite the same again. Are you ready? Deep breath.
Models are under pressure to be, and remain, thin!
UFO landing at Roswell? Boring. That whole JFK assassination business? Who cares? 9/11 conspiracies? Shut the fuck up and eat a healthy dose of true scandal. Here it is again - models are under pressure to be, and remain, thin! Pack your bags, Dan Brown, because here comes Kate with her lisping mouth of truth.
“You go to a show and there’s no food at all … I remember standing up in the bath one day and … I was so thin! I was never anorexic … I remember thinking, I don’t want to be this skinny.”
How could she keep such revelations to herself for so long? Nothing to do with the imminent launch of her Topshop fashion range in China and the start of New York fashion week in a fortnight, I can assure you.
Nothing will ever be the same again. Next week Kate reveals the inside gossip concerning the Pope, the Roman Catholic Church, bears and woodland.

Supermodel and Style Icon Kate Moss has introduced a new fragrance line, in an ornate bottle designed by Lutz Hermann.
The exotic look of the package aims to capture the personality of the fragrance, which its maker, Coty, describes as having a “glamorous, sensual and slightly transgressive seductive aura as the evening approaches … a mysterious, intriguing and rich ‘Woody Floral’ …luminous vibrancy of blue pepper and freesia enhanced by a caress of cashmere incense that envelops and entices …
No, we don’t have any idea what all that means either.
But hey, it’s a perfume. It’s not supposed to make sense. How about the packaging? “Capturing this ‘night diamond’ is a rich, dark blue box whose suggestion of a velvety texture is irresistible to touch” says a release by Coty. “Mysterious smoke makes its way seductively around the box and symbolizes this intriguing evening ritual during which she prepares herself for the night… “
Uhhhh …. the box smokes? And it requires a ritual? Dunno how that’s going to go over with the missus.

Kate Moss, the supermodel with a sordid history and a gold statue of herself on display in a British museum, has hit upon a novel idea and she wants to share it with the world. As it turns out, being a professional model is not the best diet plan in the world, “You go to a show and there’s no food at all … I remember standing up in the bath one day and … I was so thin! I was never anorexic … I remember thinking, I don’t want to be this skinny.”
Not to knock the idea that fashion runways and the modeling industry create unrealistic body-image expectations for young women, but Kate is picking an interesting time (two weeks before New York’s Fashion Week, which kicks off the global event) and place (Andy Warhol’s magazine) to drop this truth bomb on the world.
Kate’s clothing line Topshop is on the brink of a lucrative deal in China, and all of a sudden the formerly mum model gets all chatty with Vogue and Interview about eating disorders? If she really wanted to do something about the pressure models face about their body image, she’d put a sandwich where her mouth is and move up a cup size or two.

Eva Herzigova and Liz Hurley went to head-to-head on the red carpet in Venice last night at the world premiere of Valentino: The Last Emperor in Venice.
With all-out glamour the order of the day, a host of Hollywood stars had turned out for the fashionable event, including Diane Kruger, Claire Danes and Charlize Theron but it was Eva and Liz who stole the limelight in two very revealing gowns.
The film itself is an intimate look at the life of Valentino, who retired from the world of couture earlier this year.
Fittingly many of his guests at the premiere and, later, at an exclusive after-party at the Guggenheim Museum, were wearing Valentino. However, when asked who wore his designs the best, Valentino saved his praise for the one star not in attendance: Julia Roberts.
‘I have to be very sincere, the person that makes me feel very happy, also because [she] chose vintage, was Julia Roberts, when she got the Academy Award,’ he admitted. ‘I was very excited to see her when she appeared with my dress. It’s very important for stars to like your clothes.’
