Earlier this year, model and muse to Alexander Wang Erin Wasson launched her own jewelry line called Low Luv. The pieces consist of chains that wrap around the body and cost upwards of $1,000. Wang thought they were so cool, he even used them in his fall ‘08 runway show in February, right before Wasson’s line launched. However jewelry designer Bliss Lau, who has been making similar body chains since 2007, claims Wasson’s line is a ripoff of her Bliss line. According to Fashionista, Lau alledges that the pieces worn at Wang’s show were Bliss pieces that Wasson merely recast. Scandal!
But the alleged awfulness gets worse: Lau claims that Wasson actually wore an original Bliss piece in the Nylon magazine article about her Low Luv line. And — if Lau’s allegations are true — is that the body chains weren’t just some of Wang’s best accessories, but some of his best inspiration for his fall collection. He says in a Nylon video shot just before February Fashion Week, “A lot of this collection was inspired by holes and chains, mainly because I’m working with Erin, who’s designing her own jewelry line starting with this season, and it’s going to be introduced in the show. And kind of the idea of it was a lot of body chains and things that wrapped around the body.” In other words, the exact concept of Lau’s jewelry collection.
We’ve contacted Wasson’s reps and are awaiting comment; in the meantime we’ll be cringing.

MIRANDA Kerr will have to take to the catwalk of the David Jones Summer Collections Launch 2008 next week without her actor boyfriend Orlando Bloom in the front row.
In final fittings with designer Collette Dinnigan yesterday, the 25-year-old confirmed that her Hollywood heartthrob boyfriend would not be at Tuesday’s show because he is working.
But the other man in her life will be there – dad John, who has already made one flying visit to Sydney from Gunnedah to see his daughter when she jetted in on Saturday, will be watching.
“He loves his little girl,” said the globetrotter, adding that she was looking forward to catching up with friends and family. “I go to two different countries a week. I’ve spent only two weeks in New York this whole year,” she told fashion editor Jen Melocco.
While in Sydney, Kerr also intends to take just a little time out to stretch her legs with at least one walk along the Bondi to Bronte coastal path.
Regular walking is just one facet of the healthy lifestyle of the model, who shot to international fame as an “Angel” for US lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret.
“Because I continuosly walk (on the catwalk) in my underwear I’m always trying to maintain a good healthy lifestyle,” she said.
“It’s really challenging when you are travelling and the last thing you feel like doing is going to the gym,” she said. “But sometimes while I’m on a shoot or fitting I’ll try to do a couple of squats in between so then I’ve already done my exercise regime throughout the day.”
Miranda’s envious physique and cheeky personality make top Australian designer Collette Dinnigan pleased she’ll be wearing one of her dresses in the finale of the David Jones show.
“She’s got the most amazing legs and absolutely the right attitude to wear the dresses we do,” Ms Dinnigan said.

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen wants to suprise her boyfriend, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, with a calender full of pics of her wearing next to nothing.
Bundchen has already given us a preview of what we might see in this monthly pictorial when she did a photo shoot for GQ with several pictures in and out of her Calvin Klein’s and offered up a couple of poses in some super tight shorts that didn’t even attempt to cover her assets.
Reports are that Bundchen has lined up some hot lingerie, a birthday cake and a flirtatious image of her wearing little more than a Patriots jersey.
Even rival fans will surely be flocking to see that.

Kate Moss and Topshop tycoon Sir Philip Green met up in Ibiza yesterday for a dose of rest and relaxation.
The pair, who worked together on her range for Topshop, were spotted at a local bar accompanied by the 56-year-old’s daughter Chloe.
After a low-key dinner the trio continued to enjoy the hot summer night, casually strolling through the cobbled streets together.
Kate and Chloe, 17, a longtime fan of the model, looked very much at ease in each other’s company, warmly embracing each other as they meandered along with Sir Philip in tow.
The 34-year-old, dress in high black wedges, thigh-skimming shorts and a casual black vest, eventually called it a night, retiring to a private yacht.
Kate’s range, launched in May last year across the chain’s 225 UK stores, proved to be extremely successful for both of them and sold out almost immediately.
She was reportedly paid ?3million for the collection of 50 designs, which included clothes, bags, shoes and belts.
The pair first met at a charity auction in 2006, where he had paid ?60,000 for a kiss with the 34-year-old – although he famously gave away his prize to the socialite Jemima Khan.
A week later, the two met again by chance at the Dorchester Hotel, where Green lives during the week.
She said at the time: “I’m a girl from Croydon, you’re a boy from Croydon. Let’s do a collection together.’
Sir Philip has previously described the mother of one as ’smart and witty’, and has regularly expressed his admiration of her business acumen.
After the launch of her Topshop line last year, he gushed: ‘To give Kate credit, she insisted on personally signing off on every piece.
‘The six designers, buyers and merchandisers I assigned to work with her found her ideas totally inspiring.’

SoBe Life Water has launched a follow-up television advertisement to the sensational Super Bowl TV spot which featured supermodel Naomi Campbell dancing to the Michael Jackson song ‘Thriller’, broadcast at the Super Bowl in February.
The latest 30-second advert brings the trademark animated lizards back to the dance floor. This time the soundtrack for the campaign is ‘Black Magic Woman’ by Carlos Santana and besides dancing with the lizards, Naomi Campbell also kisses one of them.
The campaign introduces three new flavours of SoBe Life Water: agave lemonade, yuzu black currant and goji melon. SoBe Vice President of Marketing Jeff Dubiel said the SoBe Life Water lizards have become pop culture personalities and have developed a following.
The marketing chief highlighted that SoBe Life Water is making strides against its strongest competition in the US vitamin enhanced segment: glacéau vitaminwater owned by Coca-Cola.
SoBe Life Water’s volume was up 144% last year, but overall sales are still more than 14 times less than its Coke rival.
