Supermodel Christie Brinkley was angered by the fact that her fourth ex-hubby Peter Cook broke their agreement and took their kids on a flight with a single-engine plane this weekend.
Before Cook took the kids for the weekend, the two ex-spouses had agreed that he would drive their 10-year-old daughter Sailor and her 13-year-old brother Jack to the Adirondacks. Brinkley and Cook reached the agreement on Friday night during the airing of his soap-opera “20/20″ interview Friday night.
However, Peter Cook did it anyway. Sailor called her supermodel mommy hours before the show aired. The girl was hysterical because she was about to board a plane small, single-engine plane.
Sailor was crying because she was scared to get on the plane, a source close to Brinkley said. The fact that Cook took the kids on a flight is a very disturbing issue for Brinkley because she went through a helicopter crash in 1994. She managed to survive the crash, but from then on, she insisted that no member of her family would ever travel via helicopter or small airplane.
“Because of what she went through, Christie has always insisted that the family has to travel on a double engine plane with two pilots,” the source informed.
Cook was stopped from taking the kids on the flight. Brinkley called the cops and they stopped the plane on the runway at East Hampton Airport. However, Cook faked everybody. He drove away with the kids, but after everybody left believing he decided to drive the kids to the destination, he turned the car around, headed back to the airport and took off.
However, to keep his ex-wife from going bananas, Cook asked a friend to accompany him and his kids on the small plane as a second pilot, People Magazine reported.

The Lancashire supermodel and her Strokes guitarist beau showed off their adorable new pooches as they ventured out for a late lunch at Manhattan’s Gemma restaurant.
Walking hand-in-hand through a sunny New York City, the inseparable pair looked the very picture of domestic bliss as they showered their pets with affection.
Agyness,25, and Albert, 28, are rumoured to be engaged after the style icon was photographed wearing a ring on her wedding finger last month.
Now based in New York, former fish and chip shop employee Agyness has come a long way from her working class roots in the last two years.
She first appeared on the cover of US Vogue in May 2007 where she was chosen to take part in a spread featuring ‘the new crop of supermodels’.
Recently described as the ‘ultimate incarnation of the It-girl’, Agyness’s success is often attributed to an androgynous but sexy versatility that has catapulted her to fame.

It was all smiles from Kate Moss yesterday afternoon as she walked arm in arm with her on/off boyfriend Jamie Hince.
The pair were spotted looking very much like a couple outside the RS&A gallery in east London where they were attending the launch of Tracey Emin’s new Travelling Chess exhibition.
Others guests included Jerry Hall, photographer Amanda Eliasch and Kate’s ex-boyfriend Jefferson Hack, father of her daughter Lila Grace.
The supermodel started dating The Kills guitarist Jamie earlier this year. The couple were a regular fixture at celebrity parties throughout the summer before splitting at the beginning of September.
But in recent weeks their relationship has been the subject of much speculation, with many insiders claiming Kate and Jamie are still an item.
And judging from the pair’s public display of affection yesterday, it appears their romance is ongoing.
Kate has a history of volatile relationships, including a high-drama coupling with drug addict Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty that made headlines around the world.

Supermodel Lily Cole proved that she is far from your typical university student over the weekend.
Just one day after she was photographed riding a bicycle around the flat streets of Cambridge, the 20-year-old posed for the cameras outside a celebrity-laden party on the mean streets of New York City.
Lily mingled with stars including Lindsay Lohan, Chaka Khan, N*E*R*D and MIA at the Diesel xXx 30th Anniversary Rock & Roll Circus celebration at Brooklyn Waterfront’s Pier 3 on Saturday.
It was all a far cry from her activities in Cambridge at the end of last week, when a bare-faced Lily could be seen with her hair tied back in a simple bunch as she rode her push bike around incognito.
But despite her fortune relying on her good looks, the 20-year-old failed to wear a protective safety helmet.
Lily won a place at Cambridge two years ago to study social and political sciences but took two years off to concentrate on her modelling career. She has now switched to a three-year history of art degree.
But while Lily has for the most part given up the glitz and glamour of the catwalk, she seems unable to completely let go of her jet-set lifestyle.
