Ironically, Kurkova was recently bashed as ‘too fat’ to walk the runway
Victoria’s Secret model Karolina Kurkova has been voted the World’s Sexiest Woman by E! television, a mere five months after being bashed as “too fat” to walk the runway.
Kurkova, 24, beat out fellow Victoria’s Secret supermodels Adriana Lima and Gisele Bündchen, as well as Oscar winner Angelina Jolie. Kurkova, a leggy 5′11″ Czech supermodel, was recently ranked by Forbes magazine as one of the world’s highest paid models, raking in an estimated $5 million in 2007. Bündchen, 28, topped that list, with estimated 2007 earnings of $35 million.
Ironically, Kurkova ignited a media firestorm in June, after she appeared looking slightly heavier than usual in a bikini during Sao Paulo Fashion Week. A local Brazilian paper blasted Karolina as “too fat” to walk the runway and described how “shocked” the audience was when she appeared with “back fat and cellulite on her butt.” The incident sparked a heated media discussion on whether the fashion industry sets unrealistic standards of beauty.
Recently, Karolina–who graced the runway during the 2008 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Miami–caused a stir when rumors swirled about her unusually smooth-looking belly button. Victoria’s Secret reps have confirmed that Kurkova has no belly button, and that one is edited in whenever her mid-section is photographed. However, this minor “imperfection” hardly seems to have hurt Karolina’s sizzling career.

As a supermodel, Heidi Klum ensures she’s always immaculately groomed.
So it comes as no surprise that her friends and companions are also looking their very best – even if they are an Afghan hound.
But it seems the two immaculately groomed creatures share a taste for the luxury life – and the same hairdresser.
The German-born supermodel and her furry friend ensured they looked their best while filming a commercial in Los Angeles.
Dressed in a sheer dress and Christian Laboutin shoes, the mother of three proved she can still turn heads as she based in the late Californian sunshine.
A smiling Klum looked relaxed and happy as filming began and spent several minutes stroking and patting her friend while driving around in a convertible Bentley.
The commercial filming is no doubt a more relaxed pace from her hectic schedule of the past week which saw her dazzle at Victoria’s Secret opening show in Miami.
And earlier this month, the 35-year-old stripped down to her lacy black underwear to spoof actor Tom Cruise’s famous air guitar scene to song ‘That Old Time Rock And Roll’ from 1980s movie ‘Risky Business’.
The wife of rocker Seal proved she had musical talents all of her own as she filmed the television commercial for the latest version of the Guitar Hero video game.

Kate Moss made it a family affair last night – stepping out to her boyfriend’s gig with her mother in tow.
The model took glamorous mum Linda to the Astoria in London to watch Jamie Hince perform with his band The Kills.
And as Kate, 34, looked ever the rock chick in sleek leather trousers and a black jacket, livened up with sparkly sleeves, Linda more than held her own in the style stakes.

But they have since been spotted looking very much the couple again.
Last night was no exception, and the pair looked inseparable as they cuddled together on the way home.
Kate met Jamie last September, shortly after Kate’s split with Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty.

VICTORIA’S Secret supermodel yummy mummy Alessandra Ambrosio has revealed how she got her catwalk body back in just three monthsafter having her first bub.
Ambrosio is no superhuman, but her amazing body transformation post-pregnancy involved hard work with a personal trainer everyday.
“We worked out every day. We didn’t have a day off because time was so short,” said Leandro Carvalho, New York-based trainer for the newest VS mommy Alessandra Ambrosio.
Ambrosio gave birth to her daughter Anja less than three months before, leaving her little time to get back to her usual sexy shape.
The stunner was even more pressed for time to firm up her abdominals because she’d had a Cesarean section, reports the New York Daily News.
“She was limited in the beginning,” Carvalho said. “She could not do crunches, sit-ups, lunges.”
But Ambrosio did what she could – climbing, walking and using ankle weights in the early stages.
