Supermodel Bar Refaeli apparently doesn’t share the same eco-friendly outlook as her longtime boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio.
She took a small plane from Barbados to Canouan Island last week and didn’t seem to like it one bit. A fellow passenger told Page Six that the leggy blonde “was frantically e-mailing on her BlackBerry once she saw the tiny plane.”
She reacted poorly when “the porter asked her for a tip after putting her luggage under the plane, and that got her even more steamed.” Just a couple of days later, when she was ready to head back, she was spotted looking “refreshed and happier” as she prepared to board “the hotel owner’s private plane to Barbados.”
Private plane? Leo will not be pleased to hear that.

Even if you’re not modelling on the world’s hottest catwalks, you can follow the lead of the genetically blessed by adopting their hobbies.
1 Ditch the car and sport some real wheels
Take a leaf out of English model Agyness Deyn’s book and opt to cycle your way through town. The pixie-faced punk whose unique androgynous looks have scored her contracts with labels such as Burberry, Mulberry and Vivienne Westwood told Britain’s Sunday Mirror her transport of choice is “an old Pashley Princess Classic, an old-fashioned black-framed bike with a straw basket”.
“I ride everywhere and when I am on the bike and see a good shop I can jump off and go in and have a look around.”
Erin Wasson, who worked as a Victoria’s Secret model in 2007 and played the object of Justin Timberlake’s affection in his debut clothing line’s advertising campaign, prefers to hit the road on her skateboard.
“I’ve built a treehouse in my backyard and I’ve got a half-pipe there also, so every summer I bring all the kids from the neighbourhood over and I teach them how to skate,” she told Vero Moda magazine.
2 Get creative on paper
Russian model Sasha Pivovarova says you don’t need to paint like Picasso to tap into your creativity.
“I have these large pieces of recycled brown paper stretched on my apartment wall and when I am not doing anything fashion-related, I’m drawing on it, playing with colour spectrums,” she told V magazine recently.
She is said to carry her art tools with her between catwalk shows and has even converted part of her New York apartment into a private studio.
3 Channel your inner Grandma
How does a model pass the time backstage before a catwalk show? By knitting scarves and woolly jumpers, of course.
US model Amber Valletta and Scottish colleague Stella Tennant have both been spotted knitting on various occasions while backstage hair and make-up types fuss over them. Quite clever, really, as knitting is a sure-fire way to ensure your wardrobe won’t mirror anybody else’s. You can pick up myriad wool textures and colours at Lincraft.

POOR Lily Allen and Agyness Deyn were expecting to have the close attention of flunkies at the world’s big-gest party in Dubai.
But they didn’t reckon on the kind of intimate attention they did receive.
They were subjected to an unsavoury, hour-long strip search on their way to the ?20million shindig at the Atlantis Resort.
Dubai Customs officials examined more than 100 guests and targeted those who have big reputations for partying.
Poor Lily, who has admitted to taking cheeky sweets since the age of 13, was left traumatised by her lengthy probing at Dubai airport.
The warbler, 23, said: “I was strip-searched, which was so nice as soon as you arrive. I knew I didn’t have anything on me, so I wasn’t worried. I wasn’t paranoid, just terrified.
“It took more than an hour. It was really scary as they didn’t tell you what they were doing. They just said: ‘Take off trousers’. And I was like: ‘Help’!”
Aggie and her boyfriend, Albert Hammond Jr, 29, were also poked in intimate regions to ensure they weren’t smuggling naughties into the country.
The supermodel, 25, admitted: “Both Albert and I were strip-searched. It was really traumatic.
“It wasn’t the best experience in the world. But it is their culture and you just have to respect it.”
But Rhys Ifans, 40, couldn’t even bring himself to discuss his toe-touching episode, which lasted an eye-watering two hours and included a terrifying grilling.
Organisers of the opening of the ?1billion resort were concerned that the United Arab Emirates’ strict anti-drugs policy would sour the four-day bash for their superstar guests.
So they issued everybody with leaflets before the event, warning them about the dangers of bringing in illegal substances.
Our man with the John Wayne gait said: “We were supposed to have been treated like gods, but we were treated like villains. They sent us a warning letter, but that wasn’t enough to prepare us.”

She may just have split from rocker boyfriend Benji Madden, but Paris is clearly burying herself in her work as she poured herself into a black PVC dress at an event last night.
Paris donned the racy look for the launch of the The Pussycat Dolls Lounge at the Viper Room in Los Angeles.
Sending a clear message to the Good Charlotte rocker, that she’s back on the market, and ready for the hunt.
It seems Paris is keen to get back to her man-eating ways, as she struck a series of raunchy poses in the sexy outfit.
But it was all in the name of publicising the launch of the Pussycat Dolls – the burlesque troupe not the pop group’s – new home at the notorious LA club which was once better known for being the spot where River Phoenix fatally overdosed in 1993.
And on the same night she stepped out at the American Music Awards wearing a very brief gold minidress.
Paris and the Good Charlotte guitarist ended their 10-month relationship earlier this week, after the heiress was spotted getting cosy with ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos in Miami.
The couple had started dating in February after spending more time together while visiting her best friend – and Simple Life co-star – Nicole Richie.
Nicole, daughter of singer Lionel Richie, has an 11-month-old daughter Harlow with Benji’s twin brother Joel.
Joel told The Sun: ‘Paris is someone we all know. She’s been friends with Nicole since they were like three, and it’s not like we’re never gonna see her again.
‘You just have to go, ‘Hey you guys, if it’s not working out, figure it out.
‘But we all have to kind of see each other. So I think that whatever they figure out they will. But it’s all good. Benji’s doing good.’
Paris recently told a US radio show: ‘He’s an incredible person. We’ll always be very close. We’ll see what happens in the future. I’m still in love with him.’
