Kate Moss shows no sign of slowing down despite turning 35 today.
The notorious party girl and top model started her birthday a day early with a nine-hour session at the exclusive Dorchester Hotel, and she is gearing up to hold one of the most extravagant parties of the year tonight.
Kate’s St John’s Wood home has been a flurry of activity today, with workmen bringing in all the party accessories a girl could need, including a pig to roast on a spit, crates upon crates of alcohol, glitzy furniture and, er… mounted tiger and deer heads…
After getting some much needed sleep this morning, Kate will become the hostess with the mostess tonight as she hosts a party at her London home.
Over the week, extra furniture and flowers have been seen being delivered to Kate’s St John’s Wood home, including an expensive looking armchair today.
The supermodel has asked friends to keep the entire weekend free so they can help her celebrate in style.
Guests who are likely to be on the guestlist include Kelly Osbourne, Sadie Frost, Rhys Ifans, Topshop boss Philip Green, Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie, Meg Matthews and actress Davinia Taylor.
It is thought the party will then move to the Cotwolds home on Sunday.
Yesterday, Kate was spotted visiting a Notting Hill jewellery store, perhaps to buy herself a birthday treat.
The party started in a civilised manner yesterday afternoon when she and her rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince, 40, dined on dim sum at her favourite restaurant China Tang at the Dorchester.
The couple then continued drinking until the early hours and finally stumbled out of the hotel at 4am.
Joining in the festivities was Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch and his model girlfriend Abbey Clancy.
Wearing a super short dress, Clancy flashed her long legs as she left the hotel shortly before Moss.
The blonde Scouser looked a tad worse for wear and ready for bed as she fled the hotel into their waiting car.
Peter and Abbey’s shock appearance at Kate’s birthday celebrations will no doubt prompt speculation the supermodel has widened her notoriously hard-to-get-into social circle.
And Abbey’s addition to Kate’s circle of friends would have given the 23-year-old a boost to her cool rating and she would be the first WAG to infiltrate Kate’s Primrose Hill set.
Upon leaving the luxury hotel, Kate looked like she hoped to bring the party with her as she took a half-empty bottle of wine and glass.
However, by the time she got home, Kate has lost interest in the wine and left it in her chauffeur-driven car.
Camden Council also left the celebrity a present – a parking ticket placed on her silver classic Rolls Royce.
But with millions of pounds in the bank, the fine will simply be small change to the supermodel.

Claudia Schiffer has shown off her best assets once again, by posing in a new ad campaign for Salvatore Ferragamo.
Posing beside the pool, the stunning supermodel shows off her long legs in heels and a purple dress for her new fashion campaign.
She will also front Yves Saint Laurent‘s upcoming Spring 2009 campaign, following in the footsteps of Gisele Bündchen and Naomi Campbell.
In addition to her modelling work, the 38-year-old recently revealed plans to launch a beauty range next year too.
It will be sold alongside her popular range of jewellery, which also bears her name.

With a huge party planned for this evening birthday girl Kate Moss could have been expected to spend last night holed up at home.
But the supermodel isn’t one to hold back when it comes to a celebration.
She got the party started a day early as she and boyfriend Jamie Hince headed to her favourite China Tang restaurant in The Dorchester Hotel for dinner last night.
The rock and roll couple have only just made the final decision about what to do for her bash – after arguing all week.
They were split in their views on how they should mark Kate’s birthday, but have now settled on a house party at her St John’s Wood house.
A huge table and several bunches of flowers were among the things being delivered to Kate’s pad yesterday as the couple prepare for what should be a monster bash.
A friend said: ‘Kate and Jamie have had a difficult time this week over the arrangements.
‘Kate wanted to involve her friends Sir Philip Green and David Tang in the arranging, but Jamie felt he should have a bigger say as he’s her man.’
Jamie sat back and let Kate to sort out his 40th birthday surprise just before Christmas, so he thought it would be nice if he had a hand in the organisation this time.
‘Kate hates a party that goes wrong, so she wanted to be in control. She wanted to spend her birthday at her favourite places – drinks at the Dorchester and dinner at the hotel’s restaurant China Tang.
‘But Jamie was more keen on going to her Cotswolds home to do something more private.
‘The St John’s Wood bash is something of a compromise, but still gives Kate the option of going elsewhere if she fancies it.’
Kate’s pal Davinia Taylor and her husband Dave Gardner have stepped in to help with the organising, and popped round last night to go over some last-minute details.
Earlier, Davinia was spotted going into Kate’s place with a rather bizarre centre piece adorned with stuffed birds (it will be a conversation starter if nothing else).
Last year, Kate planned to party for 34 hours – one hour for each year of her life – but only managed 18.
She started the festivities off at a private suite in the Dorchester Hotel, before dining at China Tang restaurant before partying at Punk in Soho.
Among the guests were Sir Philip, Meg Mathews, Jools Holland, David Walliams, Bobby Gillespie, Kelly Osbourne, Jay Kay, Ronnie Wood and his now-estranged wife Jo Wood.
This year, however, she is expected to take it a little more easy.
