Supermodel Claudia Schiffer certainly has a taste for grandeur and to store the valuable designer goods accumulated over her modelling carer of two decades, she has converted a helicopter hangar into a wardrobe.
The German supermodel has converted the huge warehouse beside her 5million pound home in Suffolk into a climate controlled closet for her expensive couture. The store is climate-controlled to preserve the fabrics and has separate closets for clothes by different designers.
The 38-year-old model had to create the the enormous wardrobe when her husband, film director Matthew Vaughn, asked her to clear-out the excessive clothes from their home. But Schiffer did not want to give away anything as she wants to pass on the collection to her four-year-old daughter Clementine, reported Daily Mail online.
‘I’ve kept all my clothes. I have a hangar that is normally made for helicopters and I’ve got all my clothes in there. The heli-hangar was Matthew’s idea. I have so many closets of Chanel in there, it’s like a Chanel boutique,’ said Schiffer.
Amidst the mind boggling selection of coveted brands, there is a special space reserved for the Italian-lace wedding dress gifted to her by legendary designer Valentino when she married Vaughn.

Supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s wardrobe was overflowing with her designer outfits – so the beauty converted an aircraft hangar into an enormous closet.
The 38-year-old has enjoyed almost two decades in the fashion industry, with designers queueing up to hand her free clothes.
The German-born star soon ran out of space in her luxurious $7 million (?5 million) home – but instead of clearing out her closet, Schiffer decided to convert an unused helicopter hangar in the grounds of the property.
She says, “I’ve kept all my clothes. I have a hangar that is normally made for helicopters and I’ve got all my clothes in there. The heli-hangar was (husband) Matthew’s (Vaughn’s) idea. I have so many closets of Chanel in there, it’s like a Chanel boutique.’
A source tells Britain’s Mail on Sunday, “It’s just like an Aladdin’s cave. It’s an extraordinary collection of clothes and there are some fantastic items in there. There are things she’s bought and things she’s been given.
“It’s not all colour-coded or arranged like a big archive. Some people expect it to be like a high-class boutique inside and it’s not really like that at all.”

The ever-titillated Track Girls are now proposing that a picture of Bridget Moynahan standing on a bed is the same as one of Gisele Bundchen jumping in the air. Come again? Apparently both Bridget and Bundchen are wild girls who appreciate Tom’s steadfastness. In 2004, Moynahan theorized that Brady would “always have her back.” To stab, maybe. Gisele, on the other hand, touts Tom’s sensitivity. If the girls are really so similar, where’s our photo of Bridget flippantly flipping her hair (see right)? Maybe motherhood (as opposed to stealthmommery) keeps her too grounded for such frivolity. But at least Gisele likes ice cream as much as Bridget enjoys cake.

The German-born supermodel Claudia Schiffer admits she was terrified agency scouts had made a mistake when they approached her in a disco at the age of 17 because she didn’t think she was attractive enough to be a model.
She said: “I didn’t consider myself to be beautiful. I wasn’t one of the popular, pretty girls at school. After I was discovered and did the test shots, I was sure they would realise they had made a mistake and send me back.”
The blonde beauty was so lacking in confidence when she began modelling, she used to hope she would be overlooked during castings.
Speaking about her time living in Paris, she said: “I remember hoping that I wouldn’t get picked for jobs. I would be seated with other girls, praying they got booked.”
Claudia’s curvy look caused her problems when she accepted her first major catwalk job – a Chanel show in 1990 – because she was too voluptuous for the outfits.
She told Vogue magazine: “Catwalk models were traditionally very boyish. All I remember is the exasperated tailor who kept complaining, ‘I don’t know what to do with the bust. The corset doesn’t fit, nothing closes, we’ll have to open everything up.’ ”

While the 35 year-old-model wore a shimmering grey dress and fur coat, Jamie was dressed in grey jeans and a grey dinner jacket.

Moss who is well known for her waif like figure has recently added a few curves to her body and is very happy about it, as it makes her feel womanly.
“It`s so awful, even my friends are phoning me up and saying, `Are you pregnant?` And I’m like, `No! I just put on a couple of pounds, and they went in the right place. I am a woman now!”, the star had said in an interview to New Yorker magazine.
While in Paris, the model has also patched up with rival Lily Alen, after a reported fall-out two years ago when they both launched fashion ranges simultaneously.
