The gorgeous, violet-eyed vamp that leads unsuspecting humans to their death in “New Moon” will be played by a fashion model, according to E! Online.
25-year-old runway model Noot Seear will be the face of the vampire vixen that is described in the book as “not only the fisherman, but also the bait.”
AnnaLynne McCord, who plays Naomi on “90210,” was in talks for the role last month. The news that she will not be joining the cast will likely disappoint her good friend, and rumored boyfriend, Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen.
If you haven’t heard of Seear, don’t feel bad. Known for her “pout and cheekbones” according to New York Magazine, the Canadian model was styled as the Mona Lisa for Yves Saint Laurent’s 1998 ad campaign. Her runway and advertising credits include Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Vera Wang and Pantene Pro-V.
She has also been featured in such heavy-hitters as Cosmopolitan and Vanity Fair.
This beauty was born in Vancouver, where Chris Weitz and team are currently shooting “New Moon,” Does this mean that she won’t get to take the trip to Italy?
Here’s a fun bit of Twilight trivia: her real name is Renata Seear. If that name sounds familiar, it is because Renata was Aro’s bodyguard, mentioned in Breaking Dawn.

Supermodel Liya Kebede debuts a new kids fashion line called Lemlem Saturday. With the launch she hopes to give back to her native Africa.
After a trip to Ethiopia three-and-a-half years ago, Kebede saw the cramped spaces and quarters that city weave makers had to endure for a small wage. Looking at the hand-woven clothing they were producing, Kebede said she was compelled to help.
“They had this incredible talent, but didn’t really have a market,” she said. “I wanted to introduce them to the Western market…to see if we can help that industry. I wanted to at least do my part for the country.”
Kebede said she wanted to create a children’s clothing line as a way to preserve her Ethiopian culture with her own kids, son Suhul, 8, and 3-year-old daughter Raee. Lemlem is Kebede’s mother-in-law’s nickname for Raee, which means “lush and fertile” in Amharic, an Ethiopian dialect.
Every Lemlem piece is hand-woven and some are made of hand-spun cotton, like one of Kebede’s favorite pieces: the hooded Gabi that transforms a traditional Ethiopian blanket into a summer frock.
“We’re taking this old way of making a garment and giving it a new style and modern design,” she said. “It’s a mix of really cool design for today and the old world.”
The line, sold at J. Crew, is for children, but Kebede said moms are getting jealous of their kids’ “yummy” Lemlem look.
“A lot of moms have been asking us ‘Do you make this in an adult size? I would wear this,’” she said. “I know how much parents love buying clothes for their kids and how they want to give them something new in the closet. It helps with the mom’s personal style (and) will add some color into the kid’s closet.”
J. Crew started a children’s Crew Cut line in 2006 and creative director Jenna Lyons said Lemlem was a perfect way for J.Crew to expand its children’s presence.
“We’re all about combining the casual and the high end, and we thought Lemlem integrated well with that,” she said. “It’s a unique combination and the fact that someone is benefiting is great. We don’t get to do that often.”

Kate Moss’s burgeoning friendship with Lily Allen appears to be going from strength to strength after the pair were spotted out together last night.
Less than two months after the supermodel checked out Lily’s comeback gig at London’s Koko venue, she was back in the front row again of her second London concert last night.
After Kate watched the 23-year-old perform she was invited back to the Smile singer’s north London home, where the two partied until the early hours before ending the night at the model’s house.
A worse for wear Lily finally left Kate’s home at 4.30am this morning, smoking a cigarette.
Earlier that night, Lily graced the stage of the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in her favourite pair of stonewashed black denim hotpants and a black corset.
Originally taking to the stage in a pair of killer heels, Lily admitted they were uncomfortable and changed into a pair of high-top trainers, part of the singer’s original look when she leaped to fame in 2006.
Lily’s gig was just the latest night out for the 34-year-old supermodel in recent days.
Since boyfriend Jamie Hince kicked off his world tour with his band The Kills earlier this month, Kate has been keeping herself distracted by going out every night.
Lily and Kate were first spotted together in January when the singer joined the model and Jamie at her house following her gig in Camden.
Earlier this month, the unlikely friends were spotted together again at the Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week.
In 2007, the pair were rumoured to be embarked in a feud over their respective clothing ranges.
While Kate is preparing to release her ninth collection for TopShop, Lily designed just one for rival high street store New Look, which failed to match Kate’s impressive sales.
However, Lily later insisted she had nothing but praise for the model after she rescued her from bullies at the Glastonbury Festival several years ago.
Lily said: ‘These girls were beating me up and she was the only person who stood in and said ‘leave her alone you’re being bullies.
‘They stabbed me in the ear with a beer can and cut my ear open, I also had two black eyes – it was a bit of a nightmare.’
