Claudia Schiffer certainly has a taste for her native Germany, for the supermodel travelled almost halfway across London just to stock up on her favourite Teutonic treats.
The catwalk queen, who grew up in Rheinberg, near Dusseldorf, still finds herself craving for the treats of her Fatherland.
And, thus, the long-legged beauty, who now lives in trendy Notting Hill with her husband Matthew Vaughn, trekked to the Backhaus German deli in Richmond to stock up on her favourite supplies.
Claudia’s four-year-old daughter Clementine accompanied her while the model picked up goodies, including bread, horseradish, Vitamalz root beer, Toffiffee sweets, and peppermint candy.

Hands in their pockets, the two New Yorkers seemed less than impressed by the blonde walking past.
But for thousands of fashion lovers in the city this is the moment they have been waiting for.
Kate Moss was at the eagerly anticipated new Topshop store, on the eve of the public opening, to meet invited guests and launch her new designs.
The 35-year-old arrived wearing her favourite outfit from her new collection – a flared full-skirted dress which will retail for ?60.
The striped dress takes its inspiration from a vintage item that Kate picked up at an LA thrift store – but which didn’t fit.
She teamed it with a black blazer and star broach, black tights and black heels.
Kate was accompanied by Chloe, the 17-year-old daughter of Topshop boss Sir Philip Green.
Tonight Kate will show off the range to a carefully picked selection of invited guests.
But tomorrow the Broadway store will be open to all, with signs in the window advertising the grand opening.
Kate will appear as special guest, as the billionaire Arcadia group owner Sir Philip and his wife Lady Green throw open the doors of the flagship American store for the first time.
The four-storey shop, a similar design to the Oxford Street flagship in London, opens in New York’s SoHo neighborhood tomorrow after six months of construction delays, including fire and flooding.
Kate’s new fashion line for the brand, her ninth collection for Topshop, goes on sale globally the same day.
The New York store has 200 workers, 32 changing rooms, a DJ booth, and a shoe lounge.
And despite the opening being at a time of global belt-tightening, it has sparked a fever of anticipation within the city.
If the new Topshop proves a success Sir Philip plans to open a second store in Manhattan and eventually to expand to Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Boston.

The source added: “He was after a quiet time lying in front of the telly but she was always up for hitting the clubs.
“They tried to work through their problems but things were getting worse so in the end they decided the best thing was to split. Both are keen to remain good friends.”
Albert got together with the Lancashire lass in May last year shortly after she ended her four-year relationship with The Paddingtons singer Josh Hubbard.
