How does my tan look from down there? 6ft2in Jodie Kidd towers above male models

jodie_kidd
As male models they certainly couldn’t be called short.
But at 6ft2in model Jodie Kidd could overshadow anyone.
And in her four-inch heels she was practically looking down on her friends at a press conference in London today.
Next to the statuesque model her male co-stars were left looking like almost child-like, despite their muscular six-packs and practised poses.
Jodie has always been an impressive height – by her late teens, she was already more than 6ft tall, and her gangly frame led to her being compared to an ‘anorexic giraffe’.
Today she was using her imposing frame to advertise St Tropez’s new Aromaguard range, a self-tan which claims to be have so little of that distinctive self-tan scent that it can’t even be sniffed out by a sniffer dog.
Jodie explained: ‘Since I took to the dance floor in Strictly last Autumn I have barely had a self-tan free day, but I really dislike the smell to the point of hiding from people post-tanning, so they don’t pick up on it.’

Fantasy and reality: The two faces of Kate Moss

kate_moss
The face is familiar, but there’s something not quite right about this picture.
Someone’s taken Kate Moss out of her skinny jeans, done up her hair and persuaded her to put the cigarette out.
The partying supermodel, 35, looks almost regal in this taffeta creation by Oscar de la Renta.
But then the picture was taken by photographer Annie Leibovitz, famed for her portrait of the Queen.
It is featured in next month’s Vogue magazine to mark this year’s Costume Institute gala in New York.
Yesterday Kate showed the more recognisable side of her image as she dressed down for a trip to the shops near her north London home.
Dressed in a scruffy torn short skirt, black blazer and trilby, she couldn’t have looked more different to the poised perfection shown in her Vogue shoot.
Sponsored by designer Marc Jacobs, the superparty at the Metropolitan Museum of Art rivals the Oscars for glamour.
Moss is co-hosting the gala with singer Justin Timberlake.
Mr Jacobs said of Moss: ‘There has been so much written about her personal style. But it isn’t her personal style that interests me, it’s her person; it’s the life and the spirit.’

Here come the girls… It’s Paris Hilton and her new BFF, Africa’s most glamorous First Lady (as Sarah Brown hangs out with Naomi Campbell)

Paris_Hilton
They’re a duo so dynamic that Sarah Brown never stood a chance.
When socialite Paris Hilton locked eyes with Cameroon’s First Lady Chantal Biya, it could have been a duel to the death in the glamour stakes.
But – fortunately for those close by – the pair hit it off, posing for photographs at a gala for the African First Ladies Health Summit in Los Angeles last night.
That’s not to say the Prime Minister’s wife didn’t do herself proud.
Opting for sophisticated black, with candy pink lipstick and a gold statement necklace, Mrs Brown held her own as she chatted with supermodel Naomi Campbell.
Mrs Biya had toned her look down for the summit gala the previous evening, appearing in monochromatic polka dots instead of the colourfully-patterned dress complete with purple bow she had worn earlier.
However, her Eighties-style bouffant hair remained firmly in gravity-defying position together with her red lips, nails and gigantic cocktail ring.
For her part, Hollywood heiress Paris appeared demure in dove-grey complete with trademark smile and twinkle in her eye.
The wives of the presidents and prime ministers of Kenya, Nigeria, Angola, Zambia, and ten other nations have gathered together in the U.S. for the first time to discuss health, education, women’s issues and Aids in Africa.
