Heidi Klum Saddened By Paparazzi Confrontation

heidi_klumHeidi Klum is saddened by the recent confrontation between paparazzi who were swarming her and her young children in a New York City park — and other parents on the scene who took matters into their own hands and started pelting the offending photogs with water balloons.”It sounds like fun when you read it maybe in a newspaper somewhere, but in reality it’s not so much fun when there are children involved,” she tells us. “My children are screaming, ‘What’s going on?!” I don’t think that people should start fighting over it. I don’t want people to get hurt. You don’t know how the paparazzi are going to react when they get hit with balloons and they start yelling back and forth. I’m always worried that something might happen.”
The “Project Runway” hostess, who is expecting her and husband Seal’s fourth child in October, says she left the scene quickly. “I’m like, ‘Let’s just go away.’
“It’s something that you just deal with, unfortunately,” she goes on. “I wish there was some sort of a law that maybe they have to be at a certain distance, or there can’t be more than two . I wish there could be something done. I know people say, ‘They’re celebrities, and why shouldn’t we get photos of them all the time?’ But people forget about the person being shot all day long and their children.”
MEANWHILE: The super-achieving supermodel-cum-producer-TV personality-entrepreneur and her family will be heading off on a vacation next week. She’s just completed shooting of her latest season of “Project Runway” and done a round of promotional chores trumpeting the intensely popular, Peabody Award-winning show’s return to the tube. The airing of “Runway’s” sixth season, you may recall, was delayed nine months due to the legal wrangling over its move from Bravo to its new home on Lifetime. Festivities begin Aug. 20 with a two-hour “Project Runway: All Star Challenge” special featuring eight favorite contestants from past “Runway” seasons competing for a $100,000 prize, followed by the new season’s first episode. And in addition to the regular “Project Runway,” there will now be a companion series called “Models of the Runway,” showing the action from the models’ points of view.
“I appreciate all the designers that came back for the challenge because once you’ve kind of done the show and gone on with your life, to come back and then maybe not be the winner again, for example, is not so good,” Heidi observes. “Or maybe you’re the winner and then not the winner. There are all these possibilities for how it might end up. You don’t want the big L for loser on your forehead, again.”
MAN OF THE HOUSE: “We’ve heard from a lot of people who have said that they had no idea we were even a couple,” says Darryl M. Bell, star of “A Different World,” who is the longtime partner of “The Cosby Show’s” Tempestt Bledsoe. The two have opened up their lives for Fox Reality Channel’s newest show “Househusbands of Hollywood,” which follows the lives of five men and their high-powered wives, or in Bell’s case, girlfriend. “Before now, we’ve never really spoken publicly about our relationship in the media, although we haven’t been hiding it,” he notes. “As far as our pedigree in television, there’s a certain expectation of what people think they will see from us. There’s nothing salacious. It’s just a sweet and comical relationship on many levels, and hopefully that’s what we convey.”
Despite the show’s premise of showing men who are stay-at-home dads while the women are the breadwinners, Bell’s situation is different. “In our case, Tempestt and I are not married, nor do we have kids, and she’s not the breadwinner in our relationship. We’re both working actors, so in that sense our lives are a little different.” However, Bell thinks those men’s storylines are very important for today’s society. “With the epidemic of single-parent families in this country and the absence of mentoring for young men, I think seeing men who are raising their children and made them priorities is important, and that’s what you see in this show.”
When asked if he and Tempestt have any plans for marriage and a family of their own, Bell responds, “If I could predict the future that well, I’d be at the Powerball station right now. I generally just try to talk about where we’re at today, and where we’re at today is happy and content, so we’ll see what the future brings.”

karlie_kloss
The ideal woman for the new, Lola Marc Jacobs, scent is described like this:
“She’s sexy with a fun, flirtatious wink
Coquettish and a bit provocative
Relaxed, cool and confident
Playful alluring and irresistibly tempting.”
And she’s being personified by our local supermodel Karlie Kloss of Webster Groves High School in a new ad photographed by the edgy off-beat photographer Juergen Teller.
The 16-year-old Kloss is profiled in the W Editor’s Blog, because she was also selected for the Spring 2009 Dolce & Gabbana and Fall 2009 Chloe ad campaigns, as well as featured in a spread in W Magazine. Here’s what she said about being selected as the face of the sexy new fragrance from Marc Jacobs:
“I didn’t believe it, to be honest. I was shocked. I was like, “No, you’re kidding me. Me? Marc Jacobs knows my name?!”
The look of the surreal floral bouquet bottle was designed by Marc Jacobs. The look feminine to be sure, but also playful and defiant.
The fragrance inside is described as a warm floral bouquet with a signature note of fuschia peony, mixed with the scent of pink peppercorn, pear d’anjou, ruby red grapefruit and soft touches of rose and geranium.
The lingering base contains a seductive concoction of vanilla, tonka bean and creamy musk.

Amber Chia to try hand at hosting Cantonese talk show

amber_chiaBesides strutting down the runway, adorning billboards, gracing magazine covers, starring in movies, TV series and commercials, as well as authoring a book, Amber Chia is now trying her hand at hosting a TV programme. And to make it more challenging, she is doing it in Cantonese, a dialect that she learnt only after arriving in Kuala Lumpur some nine years ago.
“It is my first time hosting and I really enjoy the experience as I’m learning new things all the time.
“I really appreciate producer Yoko Chou giving me this opportunity to host a programme dealing with matters I am familiar with,” she told a press conference to launch the talk show, Golden Lifestyle, a fashion and lifestyle information programme.
“The show is informational and lots of fun. There will be lots of laughs, mostly at my Cantonese.
“I am looking forward to watching myself hosting the show on TV this weekend, and I must admit, I am already feeling very nervous thinking about it,” she said.
The programme features three segments: Lifestyle Express, Hair-style Magician and I Love Beauty.
The first season of the programme comprises 13 episodes, seven of which have already been filmed.
During the press conference, the show’s resident hairstyle magician, Ken Ho gave demonstrations on restyling and remodelling.
Chia recently founded her own company, Amber Creations, which will begin by dealing with events and productions.
She also hopes to set up her own modelling academy and will organise modelling workshops in September.

Nice bank balance: Leo’s ex Bar Refaeli unveils her unlikely millionaire boyfriend

bar
He has a lovely smile. And he’s awfully sweet. So there’s absolutely no need to ask Bar Refaeli just what attracted her to the multi-millionaire Teddy Sagi.
The 24-year-old model is said to have fallen for the gambling company founder after breaking up with Leonardo Di Caprio.
And although her new romeo may not look as polished as her Hollywood hearthrob ex, there are compensations. Sagi, 34, is among Israel’s top 30 richest men, according to Forbes magazine.
The couple were spotted together earlier this week, canoodling at a Britney Spears concert in Berlin.
The chunkily-built entrepreneur, who founded his firm Playtech in 1999, is a decade older than his glamorous new girlfriend. But then so was Di Caprio, so she is obviously used to the more mature man.
In March Sagi floated Playtech, which makes software for internet gambling sites, on the London Stock Exchange.
He sold 25 per cent of the company for $250million in cash. He still owns 40 per cent of the firm, which boasts a market capitalisation of ?400million.
Miss Refaeli, however, has her own financial interests. She has been working most of her life, appearing in her first commercial at only a few months old.
By 15, she was featuring in campaigns for the fashion brands Castro and Pilpel.
She was also chosen to be the face of the Renuar fashion label and appeared in its summer 2002 and winter 2003 catalogues.
n 2007 she came to world-wide attention in the the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, becoming the first Israeli model to appear in the iconic U.S. magazine.
She started a romance with DiCaprio in late 2005. But last month the actor is said to have ended their relationship.
A source told celebrity website People.com that the model’s desire to get serious may have left Di Caprio doubting their relationship.
‘She wanted to move faster than he did, she wanted to move in together, so he broke it off,’ the source said.
Di Caprio is currently in London filming his latest movie Inception and appears to be enjoying his new-found single status.
He’s been spotted in a number of celebrity hangouts, flanked by female admirers.
And earlier this week he partied with blonde Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, 27, until 2am at the exclusive Whisky Mist nightclub in Mayfair.

Gisele Bundchen’s baby bump is airbrushed out like an unsightly wobble for fashion campaign

gisele_bundchen
It is meant to magic away unsightly blemishes, spots, lines and shadows. But now it seems the airbrush has found another unacceptable imperfection – the first blossoming signs of pregnancy.
Gisele Bundchen’s gently rounded stomach has been airbrushed out of sight in her first ad campaign since her pregnancy was reported.
Wrapped in a trench coat and nothing else, the 29-year-old Brazilian model, who is expecting her first child next year, showed off a perfectly flat stomach in the photographs for the London Fog coat company.
Rather than celebrate her changing shape, the airbrushing brigade treated the first subtle signs of impending motherhood like an unsightly wobble – and erased every curve in the final photographs.
Bizarrely, London Fog claims the airbrushing was simply protecting Miss Bundchen’s privacy at ‘this wonderful and personal time’. But considering the revealing nature of the campaign photographs, privacy doesn’t seem to be at the top of her priority list.
The mother-to-be is hardly at the fully rounded stage yet. But perhaps even the tiniest hint of a baby on the way was too much for the firm’s bosses.
In a rather mixed message, London Fog admitted retouching the photographs from the shoot but insisted Miss Bundchen’s baby bump was sexy.
Dari Marder, a spokesman for the company, said: ‘Although Gisele was photographed while pregnant, most of the shots have been retouched to respect her privacy during this wonderful and personal time in her life.’
He added: ‘Nobody is sexier or more beautiful than Gisele Bundchen in nothing but a London Fog trench coat, even with her visible baby bump.’
”This London Fog campaign features a classic portrait of Gisele in an iconic London Fog trench; it is a very fitting image for this timeless brand.’
Gisele has already had a taste of motherhood. Her American footballer husband, Tom Brady, has a 21-month-old son, Jack, from a previous relationship to Sex and the City actress Bridget Moynahan.
She married the New England Patriots quarterback in Los Angeles in February after two years together. They then repeated their vows before friends at their Costa Rica home.
Her pregnancy was reported in June by U.S. People magazine.
‘I think I’ve met the right person, my partner, my companion,’ she said. ‘I already knew that we would get married a year and a half before we got married.’
She added: ‘Before… I had to go out, had to work. Now I think about it twice, three times, four times.
‘So I only do the things that I really want to do. I prefer to stay at home. The big husband wins.
‘Because of this relationship, what is most important to me is the family. Now I am creating my other family.’
