We bumped into the supermodel at fashion week, who didn’t beat about the bush telling us what she thought of the comparisons with her fellow Croydon babe.Naomi, 39 – whose been living it up in Moscow her boyfriend Vladimir Doronin – said: “It’s great to receive such a welcome home and to see my friends, especially Kate.
There is no competition between us, we go back a long way. I love and adore Kate and always will.”

Before Cindy Crawford was an international supermodel with a Malibu, Calif., beach house worthy of a spread in Elle Decor magazine, she was a fresh-faced teen scraping together money to redecorate her bedroom.
Crawford, who is 43 but looks 23, has come a long way since her childhood room in DeKalb, Ill. The mother of two and her husband, nightclub impresario Rande Gerber, own a waterfront mansion and are building a vacation house in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Now, she wants to help you style your home on less than a celebrity’s budget. This month, she launched Cindy Crawford Style, a line of bedding and home accessories sold at JCPenney. And for the past five years, she’s collaborated with Rooms to Go to create the Cindy Crawford Home Collection line. On Saturday, she will make her first visit to Tampa Bay on behalf of the Seffner-based company.
She called tbt* from the aforementioned beach house.
What’s your favorite room in your house?
We have a kitchen that’s open to the family room, and I would say 70 percent of our life happens there. It’s just the center of our home. So is it the most relaxing room? Probably not. Homework and all that stuff happens there. But it’s just really where we live.
How can you achieve the look you want and still have it be functional?
Oh, you totally can. … For my kids (ages 8 and 10), ’cause they’re running around, I try not to have a lot of sharp corners. … In my kitchen we have chairs that have upholstery on them, but I chose a fabric … that has red in it because I think that the two things that stain when you have kids are strawberries and spaghetti sauce.
You mentioned decorating your room as a teenager. How old were you, and what did you do to it?
I was 16. … I did everything. … I chose wallpaper and curtains and little mini-blinds and duvets — ’cause we had two twin beds in there — and pillows. My mom helped me wallpaper it myself. … It was very empowering.
How do you make yourself feel at home when you are traveling?
I try to travel with as little as possible, so it’s more like I bring my nightgown that I want to sleep in. I always have some kind of a cashmere blanket … that I use for the plane but I also can use in the hotel, and a good book.
How is dressing your home different from dressing yourself?
When we dress, yes it’s for yourself, but it’s for the impression you want to make in the world. … The one person you should try to please in your home — or if you’re married, the two people — is yourself. … Eighty percent of the time, you’re in your house by yourself, and I just think it’s really important for it to be the place that when you walk in the door you can … say, “Yes. I live here. I’m happy I live here.”

Victoria Beckham’s dress collection has won over plenty of celebrity fans but there is no-one more loyal than Elle Macpherson.
The supermodel was seen wearing yet another dress from the dVb range as she filmed scenes for her new TV show The Beautiful Life yesterday.
It was the fifth time in as many months she has worn one of Posh’s figure-hugging creations.
She has by far outdone Dannii Minogue, Katherine Jenkins and Tana Ramsay, who have also been seen in Beckham’s dresses.
The 46-year-old was wearing the black Camargue dress from Victoria’s autumn/winter collection which featured a racy full-length zip down the back.
Elle plays a model agent in the new US show, which also stars Mischa Barton.
She is making waves with her co-stars, including Sara Paxton, who said: ‘I become Elle’s personal assistant – when she’s around, she’s so beautiful, I’m like “Elle, would you like the fruit platter?’
‘”Elle, cheese plate?’ and they’re like, “Sara, you’re in this scene, calm down”.
‘I forget sometimes what I’m doing.’
High School Musical star Corbin Bleu said Elle makes a big impact on the cast and crew.
‘When Elle walks on set, heads turn and she doesn’t even walk, she floats,’ he said, while Mischa Barton said simply: ‘Elle’s great.’
Elle will have a whole new wardrobe to choose from now that Victoria has launched her spring/summer 2010 range at New York fashion week.
There were few of the muted colours that Elle has been so fond of wearing, with bolder colours, sombre-style prints and a more adventurous spectrum of fabrics and cuts.
Evening Standard fashion editor Laura Craik said: ‘So accomplished was the cut; so deftly chosen was the fabric and so masterful the execution that it was hard to believe this was the work of a novice.’

To celebrate the imminent arrival of summer 2009, we head to the Bondi Icebergs pool to shoot supermodel Miranda Kerr in this season’s hottest cossies.
And what will Ms Kerr be wearing on the sand this season?
“I love summer, being an Aussie. Australians certainly know how to do swimsuits. JETS and Anna & Boy always do great pieces and I love the nautical prints and theme that’s coming through, especially at JETS,” she says.
Something white and a gorgeous kaftan is also Kerr’s definition of elegance.
As for the other big trends to look out for?
This summer it’s all about small florals, frills on bikinis and sexy one-pieces that you can wear as outerwear.
“The big looks in prints this year are stripes, tropical florals and block colours,” says buyer Daria Sakic from Tuchuzy boutique in Bondi Beach, which is always brimming with a great mix of cossies.
So go on, brave the change rooms.
