Bar Refaeli criticised by fellow catwalk queen over draft-dodging

bar
Bar Refaeli
has been slammed by fellow Israeli supermodel Esti Ginzburg over her decision to dodge compulsory national service.
The 24-year-old was previously criticised by a retired general for her reluctance to serve and be drafted into the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
And now, the former girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio has evoked fury from 19-year-old Ginzburg who believes the conscription was her duty.
“In order to contribute and help, in order to be part of the state, enlisting is a duty, not a choice,” the Independent quoted Ginzburg as telling an Israeli newspaper.
“There are a million things I don’t feel like doing, but I do them because I have to. Military service is part of the things I believe in, the values I was raised on,” she added.
Refaeli told a US magazine last year: “I really wanted to serve in the IDF, but I don’t regret not enlisting, because it paid off big time. That’s just the way it is; celebrities have other needs.”

Heidi Klum’s tum defies gravity – but the soon-to-be mum-of-four battles on with her bump

heidi
Heidi Klum
must be looking forward to the day she sees her feet again.
For several months now, the pregnant German model has been nurturing a bump which has grown to the size of a beach ball.
But it certainly hasn’t stopped the presenter of Project Catwalk from donning a stylish black lycra dress and showing off her fabulous figure.
It appears Heidi, who is expecting her fourth child, a girl, in a matter of days, hasn’t added an extra pound of weight during her pregnancy.
The 36-year-old, who already has three children, Leni, five, Henry, three, and two-year-old Johan, admits she’s feeling great.
‘My mood is the same this time as with all the other pregnancies,’ she told America’s In Touch magazine. ‘I always feel great! I never really change.’
Heidi says she isn’t worried back getting back in shape following the birth especially she managed to star in a catwalk show for Victoria’s Secret a mere two months after giving birth to Henry.
She adds: ‘I know my body will go back again.
Klum admits becoming a mother again has encouraged her to think about her parenting responsibilities.
She is determined all her children will be well-educated, and she has high hopes for their future careers.
She told FOX News: “You want them to stay in school and you want them to have a vision of what they want to be and give them ideas and encourage them. I definitely want to get involved and do that, think about job ideas.
“Nowadays children look at everyone in the magazines and they want to be a basketball star or on a television show, but there are only so many people who can do those things. But you still should aim or dream for these things.”

Bloomin’ Ada! Now Kate Moss has turned into Les Dawson

Kate_Moss
As a supermodel, she has earned a sizeable fortune from her beauty and poise.
But now Kate Moss seems to be taking inspiration from a rather less elegant figure: Les Dawson’s frumpy alter-ego Ada Shufflebotham.
During a recent outing in London, the model appeared to do a remarkable impression of the late comedian’s best-known character, especially when she forcefully heaved up her bust from beneath.
Gossiping animatedly with friends on the terrace of a Central London bar, Moss’s range of gurning grimaces also bore a striking resemblance to the faces pulled by Dawson’s disapproving housewife.
Moss spent an hour-and-a-half enjoying an alfresco drink with two friends, both of whom seemed entertained by the model’s antics.
While her gestures and expressions were every inch the hangdog Northern comedian, her dress sense was rather smarter than Ada’s staid frocks and cardigans, as she chose instead a chic black jacket.
Manchester-born Dawson, who died of a heart attack at the age of 62 in 1993, regularly appeared in drag as battleaxe Ada alongside Coronation Street star Roy Barraclough’s equally gossipy housewife Cissie Braithwaite.
Moss is no stranger to the world of comedy. In March this year, she appeared in a Comic Relief sketch alongside her friend Sadie Frost and comedienne Katy Brand, playing a prim and proper teacher at a fashion school.
The 35-year-old is scaling back her modelling work and increasingly turning to designing, having already produced several fashion ranges for Topshop.
She has also launched her own fragrance and appeared in a string of music videos.
But there was also little sign of her party reputation on her afternoon out. She enjoyed just a few drinks with her friends – and there was no sign of her musician boyfriend, Kills guitarist Jamie Hince.

Naomi Campbell spices up Paris Fashion Week before flying in for Simon Cowell’s birthday bash

naomiIt was a busy weekend for Naomi Campbell who strutted her stuff on the catwalk at Paris Fashion Week just hours before jetting in to London to attend Simon Cowell’s extravagant 50th birthday bash last night.
The supermodel looked uber-glamorous on the runway when she made a surprise guest appearance during Russian designer Igor Chapurin’s show earlier in the day.
Donning a stunning black head dress with a racy sheer black corset and tiny beige skirt, the 39-year-old easily stole the show from her younger rivals.
She later closed the show dressed in a chocolate corset with matching silk chiffon train.
And not content with wowing the Paris fashion crowd, Naomi then flew in to London for Cowell’s VIP party and was spotted leaving The Dorchester hotel in Park Lane wearing a dazzling silver dress split to the thigh.
She joined around 400 guests at the Palladian mansion Wrotham Park for the black tie bash, which was thought to have cost ?1 million.
Last month the model reclaimed her runway crown during London Fashion Week when she made a rare appearance modelling for the Issa show.
‘Models can be airbrushed in magazines, but they’re shown in their true light on the catwalk,’ one guest said. ‘Naomi looked incredible. It’s as if she’s not aged at all.’
Meanwhile Naomi has expressed her displeasure with the fashion industry. The feisty clothes horse claims there is still little room for black models.
She said: ‘The only time they care about black models is in February because it is Black History Month.
Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington would go to big designers and say, “If you don’t pick Naomi to be in your show, then I don’t want to be in it.”
‘That’s how I got Prada and Helmut Lang. The only reason I got the cover of French Vogue was because Yves Saint Laurent called up and told them he’d pull his ads if they didn’t. So of course I got the cover.’
