Christie Brinkley and her ex-husband Peter Cook faced off in court again on Wednesday (07Oct09) – both insisting the other has violated terms of their divorce settlement.
The former supermodel split from the businessman in 2008, insisting he was addicted to porn. She later filed for divorce when it came to light he had conducted an affair with his teenage assistant in 2004.
The warring couple endured a bitter court battle over the details of their divorce, which was finally settled in October last year (08).
Now, a year after they officially ended their union, the pair is battling each other through the legal system again – with both parties demanding that the other should be jailed for going against specific terms of the settlement.
In a Riverhead, New York courthouse on Wednesday, Cook’s lawyer accused Brinkley of trying to destroy his relationship with their two children by purposely not delivering their son’s passport when he was supposed to travel to Egypt with his father.
Cook stated, “She is doing everything she can to ruin my relationship with my kids. I am trying to move on with my life and I wish she would do the same.”
Cook’s lawyer added that Brinkley should face imprisonment, demanded Cook is given additional visitation rights, and that the blonde beauty should undergo anger management classes.
Meanwhile, Brinkley accused Cook of failing to stick to the rules of their settlement by talking about the divorce on U.S. TV as well as allowing his girlfriend to spend time with their kids.
Her lawyer told the judge, “We’re here because Peter Cook filed what we believe is a frivolous application to the court. What Christie Brinkley wants is what’s best for her children. She wants to get this resolved fairly and get it all behind her.”
Brinkley is also calling for her ex to be put behind bars, as well as demanding he pay her legal fees. They are due back in court on Tuesday (13Oct09).

Bar Refaeli has been slammed by fellow Israeli supermodel Esti Ginzburg over her decision to dodge compulsory national service.
The 24-year-old was previously criticised by a retired general for her reluctance to serve and be drafted into the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
And now, the former girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio has evoked fury from 19-year-old Ginzburg who believes the conscription was her duty.
“In order to contribute and help, in order to be part of the state, enlisting is a duty, not a choice,” the Independent quoted Ginzburg as telling an Israeli newspaper.
“There are a million things I don’t feel like doing, but I do them because I have to. Military service is part of the things I believe in, the values I was raised on,” she added.
Refaeli told a US magazine last year: “I really wanted to serve in the IDF, but I don’t regret not enlisting, because it paid off big time. That’s just the way it is; celebrities have other needs.”

Heavily-pregnant supermodel Heidi Klum has dismissed reports she’s ready to go into labour.
On Wednesday (07Oct09), the German stunner was alleged to have checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles overnight as she prepared to give birth to her fourth child.
But her representative has shot down the claims, telling Usmagazine.com, “She’s at home resting.”
Klum is due any day now.

Amber Chia’s nightmare is finally over with Ford Models Inc officially offering her the sole Malaysian franchisee rights to the prestigious Ford Supermodel of the World contest.
The Malaysian supermodel has taken up the challenge without much hesitation.
“I know I need a lot of money to run the show,” said an elated Chia at a press conference in her lawyer’s office in Sri Hartamas.
“And I have slightly more than two months to get sponsors for it because the Ford Supermodel of the World competition will be held in January next year.”
“But I want the contestants (of her troubled Malaysia’s Supermodel Search Presents Ford Supermodel of the World) to follow their dreams.”
Chia was embroiled in a high-profile contractual dispute with her business partner Yap Wen-Ji over the legality of Yap’s franchisee agreement with Ford Models.

Kate Moss is used to garnering a lot of attention when she appears on the catwalk.
But it seems that she couldn’t quite stop herself from being the centre of attention when she arrived at the Miu Miu fashion show in Paris in a high-necked body-hugging leather dress.
The model wore the skin-tight creation – not the most comfortable of outfits – to sit in the front row of the show at Paris’s Fashion Week.
And the dress didn’t appear to allow much room for manoeuvre, and Kate didn’t appear to be wearing a bra underneath the dress.
The closeness of the dress meant the 35-year-old could go without a coat as she braved the Parisian air.
No stranger to a cheeky flash of her breasts, Kate has often gone bra-less throughout her career.
But she complained this year she was finally having to wear bras after a growth spurt.
But it seems like her promise to wear them more often had gone out of the window last night, with her bra-less state clearly visible through the close-fitting dress.
The stunning look marked a return to her former best as it was fresh-faced Kate who took her seat centre stage at the show.
With her hair scraped back, and a light covering of make-up, the 35-year-old looked nothing like the ageing beauty seen holidaying on a yacht in the summer.
Kate raised a few eyebrows when the French sunshine revealed the worrying signs of ageing in August.
And soon after she embarked on a ‘10 years younger’ health plan to regain her youthful complexion.
A source said at the time: ‘She is now eating three regular healthy meals a day. For breakfast she will have a poached egg on a slice of wholemeal toast, grilled chicken with vegetables and a salad for lunch and wholemeal pasta with fish for dinner.
‘She is also drinking two litres of water a day.
‘Her alcohol consumption is being limited to only when she goes out and has made a pact with Jamie that she will try not to drink during the week.
‘She is also trying to cut down on the amount of cigarettes she smokes.’
And the results are plain to see. She also appears to have put her disagreements with boyfriend Jamie Hince behind her.
The two laughed and giggled together as they patiently waited for the show to start.
And Hince, who had arrived hand-in-hand with Kate, seemed more than proud to have the world famous model on his arm. And rightly so.
