The 26-year-old catwalk queen made a star turn at the Caulfield Cup in Melbourne yesterday, and today she will head home to Rocklea, in suburban Brisbane, for a community rally to raise money for the Kids Helpline charity.
Her Hollywood beau, Orlando Bloom, is rumoured to be in tow. Miranda Kerr’s mother, Therese Kerr, said the actor was trying to work the trip into his schedule.
Although she reportedly earns about $1.1 million a year from her contract with lingerie company Victoria’s Secret, Miranda has other irons in the fire – her self-esteem book for young women, Treasure Yourself, comes out early next year and she’s just announced a range of organic skincare.
“If I can help and make a positive difference in the world then why not?” she said. “I have a desire to encourage people to really nurture themselves and appreciate their own uniqueness.”
After the Brisbane rally Miranda will head straight back to the US for the Victoria’s Secret runway fashion show extravaganza.

Naomi Campbell is 5ft10 in her socks, so imagine how intimidating she is in 7in heels…
The powerdressing supermodel was making power moves yesterday after flying to Paris on Thursday for a charity mission.
She has persuaded fashion giant Louis Vuitton to donate some proceeds from a bag to the White Ribbon Alliance, a motherhood charity she’s ambassador for.
Naomi flew in to pick out the bag in person. Well, you wouldn’t dare say no to her in that outfit! Good work, girl.

She’s a catwalk queen, an avid surfer and one of Victoria’s Secret most famous faces. But what supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio can’t seem to master is singing.
“I love karaoke, but I’m a horrible singer. . . . If I was any good, I would be a superstar by now.”
All jokes aside, the Brazilian-born beauty, who was in town to help promote Saturday’s Victoria’s Secret model search, has been keeping busy these days.
Besides juggling her modeling career, the 28-year-old has a 1-year-old daughter, Anja, with her longtime beau, California businessman Jamie Mazur.
“Work is a little harder now because I’ve had to learn how to divide my time between my family and my career.”
A model she shares a common bond with is VS Angel Heidi Klum. “She has a lot of kids, sometimes we bring our children to work with us, we’re a big happy family.”
So what advice does the mom have for models starting out?
“You definitely need to believe in yourself and take risks,” she said. “But you never know in life. Becoming a [Victoria's Secret Angel] is one of the greatest things that’s happened to me.”

Heidi Klum has finally popped! According to RadarOnline, the supermodel gave birth Friday, October 9, to a little girl named Lou Samuel. She was born naturally at 1 am — within just an hour of being induced.Lou will join the household of Heidi and her husband Seal, who already have three children: four-year-old Henry, two-year-old Johan and five-year-old Leni, from Heidi’s previous relationship with Flavio Briatore.
Heidi’s pregnancy has been well-documented since she first announced she was expecting earlier this year. She revealed that she had to stop her kids from jumping on her pregnant belly (”They don’t really understand there is actually a real human being in there”) and that her stomach, thighs and butt were all exploding. And although she’s delighted be welcoming a new baby, don’t expect Heidi and Seal to keep trying for more. She said, “We’re outnumbered. Four is perfect. Three is a lot. But four? It’s a lot of work. We’re hands-on, and we feel like this is what we can handle.”

Paris Hilton has monkeyed around with some chimps in the past, but this is the first time she has been spotted locking lips with a real chimpanzee.
The socialite cuddled up to Bentley the chimpanzee at the opening of amusement park and nightclub Carnival in New York last night.
The 28-year-old animal lover was clearly in for a wild night as she wore a turquoise and purple leopard-print dress to the event.
Accompanied by boyfriend Doug Reinhardt, she wore lashings of fake eyelashes for the party.
But Bentley the chimp was not put off.
Today, Paris wrote on social micro-blogging site Twitter: ‘Bentley was so cute last night. Carnival is such a fun place to go. A must see place when you go to New York.’
The heiress took party in plenty of games duriong the evening including a strong-man hammer game, which onlookers said she played more than a dozen times.
And she even walked away with a cuddly animal – not Bentley, but a stuffed toy.
But although she seemed to have fun, Paris has been claiming recently that she will quit partying on the west coast after deciding that celebrity events are ‘brutal’.
She said: ‘I work so much. I have to get up at 6am every day so I don’t really have time to go to clubs like I used to.
‘I went out the other night and it was brutal – just cheesy people and annoying and I didn’t have fun.’
Asked if she’s ready to settle down with kids yet Paris said: ‘One day’.
