Miranda Kerr has hit back over claims she has undergone dramatic weight loss.
The 26-year-old Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr now says she has had the same weight for the past “three of four years”.
Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper earlier said there were health fears for the Victoria’s Secret model because of how skinny she appeared during a Grazia magazine photo shoot on a Sydney rooftop on Thursday. The New York-based model was wearing a black corset and paparazzi photos showed the model’s skinny arms and back profile.
“The photo was taken at an angle and I was hunched over in an extreme pose that made me look thinner than I am,” Kerr was quoted by the Daily Telegraph as saying.
She told the newspaper it was her natural body weight and that she didn’t want to be scrutinised for “just being me”.
The Daily Mail article said Kerr looked “unrecognisable” from the back.
“Miranda’s ribs protruded and her skin was tightly stretched across her bony back,” the article said.
“Her thin arms also looked extremely sinewy.”
Kerr, who has been in a long term relationship with British actor Orlando Bloom, responds in detail to the controversy in the latest issue of Grazia, out next Monday.
