Cindy Crawford was desperate to remove her world-famous mole.
The 43-year-old supermodel admits she hated the beauty spot, which is just above her lips, and was considering getting rid of it.
However, her mother persuaded her not to and now Cindy is relieved because it turned out to be her trademark and set her apart from other models.
She said: “Everyone bantered me about it and I wanted to remove it. I often tell young women that my shortcoming became ironically my trademark and I encourage them to love everything about themselves – even the parts which are not perfect.”
Cindy – who has two children, Presley, 10, and eight-year-old Kaia, with husband Rande Gerber – also admitted she finds it hard to impress her daughter with her career as a model.
She told Germany’s InStyle magazine: “Yesterday she said that she would rather have a normal mom. I travel too much for her taste.”

The Danish former supermodel Helena Christensen, now a a photographer, documented the threat that global climate change is posing to the indigenous people of people of Peru (the native country of her mother) in a series of photographs which are being exhibited in London since last Thursday.
Christensen traveled to the Peruvian Andes earlier this year with Oxfam (the organization that sponsors the exhibition) to portray the suffering of indigenous people who are increasingly dealing with from lack of water and food due to rising temperatures, a change in the cycle of seasons and an accelerated melting of glaciers.
Peru is the third most vulnerable to climate change country after Honduras and Bangladesh, and its glaciers have lost 22% of its total area in the last 30 years, which is equivalent to Lima’s water consumption for 10 years, according Oxfam.
“For many of us, climate change is an idea that belongs to the distant future but for millions of people in developing countries it is already a devastating reality,” said Christensen, less than three weeks before the opening of the Copenhagen climate summit (to start on December 7th).

HEIDI KLUM is one supermodel who clearly doesn’t abide by KATE MOSS‘ idiotic mantra that “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels”.
German Heidi wowed onlookers with a surprise catwalk turn at Thursday’s Victoria’s Secret show in New York – just five weeks after giving birth to her fourth child.
The model was only expected to host the high-profile lingerie showcase, but impulsively strutted her stuff up and down the runway in a corset and an eye-catching white skirt.
Far from feeling body-conscious so soon after the arrival of baby LOU, Heidi said: “I’m proud of being the curvy model on the Victoria’s Secret stage.”
SEAL’s hot wife admits she wasn’t planning on slipping into any VS gear ahead of the event, but simply couldn’t resist as showtime loomed.
She told People: “I felt great the night of the fashion show and decided last minute to walk.
“I loved my outfit so I thought, why not?”
Why not, indeed.
