Natalia Vodianova Goes to the Dark Side for Givenchy’s Spring Ad Campaign
Apparently blondes don’t have more fun, at least not in the eyes of Givenchy’s creative team.
As we previously reported, Givenchy’s Fall 2009 ads featured a sinister looking Adriana Lima with film noir makeup and super dark tresses alongside four other models with deep chocolate locks.
Now Givenchy’s new Spring/Summer 2010 campaign has been released and it shows an almost raven haired Natalia Vodianova and MariaCarla Boscono — who also appeared in last season’s ads — in a matching espresso hue.
The ads, shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott for the second season in a row, show the two models tangled up with four male models and dressed in designer Riccardo Tisci’s graphic black and white patterned clothing and ankle-breaking platform heels.
The male models, on the other hand, wear odd cut-out lace-up oxfords and the dreaded gladiator mandal.
“To be in Riccardo’s campaign was always one of my dreams as well as shooting with MariaCarla,” Vodianova said in a statement.
Tisci, for his part, also seems happy with the outcome.
“Everybody gave so much love, creativity and collaboration,” he said. “What more could you ask for?”
