Catherine McNeil sparks health fears

Catherine McNeil‘s appearance at the David Jones show last week drew comments.
McNeil’s numerous tattoos and the visible bruises on her body jarred a little with the sophisticated “salon” theme of the parade.
Many in the audience whispered in concern over marks on her arms and dark circles under her eyes.
McNeil – one of Australia’s top models – has made no secret of her love of tattoos and sports at least 10 designs on her slender frame, including the now infamous RR scrawled on her ribcage in honour of former partner Ruby Rose.Some of the tattoos tell a story and others are simply decoration.
McNeil, who made a huge comeback this year after taking an extended break from modelling, revealed to Insider it was just a natural part of her career path.
“Any time out, no matter how long you’ve been in the business, is good for body and soul,” she said.
“There are a number of international models who take a year or so out from the industry to reflect,” she said. “I would not recommend girls get into modelling as young as I did, but in saying that any time out, no matter how long you have been in the business, is good for the body and soul.”
“I’ve got lots of different ones and some have no meaning,” she said. “There’s this Life one, and another on my wrist for a friend who passed away.”
