Liz & Elle are in style…
Actress and model Liz Hurley has taught some of her young rivals a thing or two by being crowned a style icon at the age of 41. She won the title at the inaugural Grazia awards to celebrate the creative achievements of women.
Supermodel Elle Macpherson, 43, won the Lifetime Achievement award, while Jade Jagger, 34, took the Fashion award for her jewellery designs.
Liz won an Entertainment award after “nearly a decade as a fashionable icon of the entertainment world”.
Macpherson, 43, who also has her own lingerie brand, said: “I am completely honoured to have been considered for the Grazia Lifetime Achievement award.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to be present to collect it and congratulate the winners.”
Presenters at the awards in London last night included Dannii Minogue, Kelly Osbourne, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, Jools Oliver and Donna Air.
Grazia editor Jane Bruton said: “The awards recognise and celebrate the style, creativity and ultimately the success of those British women making a real contribution to the world in which we live.
“The awards have a particular focus on innovation and fresh perspectives and all of our talented and inspirational winners have flair, passion and vision which sets them apart”.
