Irina Shayk and Barbara Palvin make their acting debut in Hercules

Russian supermodel Irina Shayk and her Hungarian counterpart Barbara Palvin have jumped on the bandwagon of multi-talented mannequins who have turned actresses.

The eye-catching pair will make their big screen debut in the upcoming Hercules film directed by Brett Ratner. The twenty-eight year-old Shayk will give life to the titular protagonist’s (played by Dwayne Johnson) love interest Megara, while twenty year-old Palvin will do the same to Antimache Queen of Mycenae and wife of Joseph Fiennes’ character Eurystheus.

Based on Steve Moore’s graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars, the action fantasy motion picture tells the story of Hercules after he completes his legendary twelve labors, but the hero’s demigod capabilities are soon put to the test when when the King of Thrace (played by John Hurt) and his daughter seek his aid in vanquishig a despotic warlord.

Hercules is expected to hit theaters on the 25th of July, 2014.
