Lara Stone is a midsummer night’s dream as she accompanies husband to a charity fundraiser

Side by side in elegant tailored gowns and with the same enviable covergirl figures, they could be sisters.
But for actress Joely Richardson, mother’s pride was the overriding emotion as her 18-year old daughter Daisy Bevan made a stunning debut at a glittering midsummer fantasy ball.
It was a night when smiles replaced the tears which have ravaged Joely’s family after a series of domestic tragedies, from the death of her sister Natasha last year in a skiing accident to the loss of her aunt Lynn Redgrave and uncle Corin Redgrave last month.
Four years ago Joely, 45, quit her hit role in the plastic surgery drama Nip/Tuck to care for Daisy, whose father is the film producer Tim Bevan, because of a rare medical problem. But mother and daughter were belles of the ball as they joined figures from the worlds of art, fashion, music and film at the Raisa Gorbachev Foundation charity gala held in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace, South-West London.
They included the newlyweds David Walliams – in white tie – and model Lara Stone, in a one- shoulder fuchsia gown slashed to the hip.
Other guests included Joely’s actress mother Vanessa Redgrave and her ex-husband Franco Nero, the Hollywood star Anjelica Huston, and actors Hugh Grant and Dougray Scott.
