A MODEL who appears on the cover of June’s edition of UK Vogue used to work at a Rossendale chip shop.
Laura Hollins, who appears under the supermodel pseudonym Agyness Deyn, is hotly tipped as the new Kate Moss.
As a teenager she worked at The Village Chippy, in Stubbins, near Ramsbottom.
The current face of Mulberry, she walked almost every major catwalk this season, and has landed ad campaigns with Giorgio Armani and Burberry.
She has also appeared on the front of Italian Vogue and the May 2007 American issue, with a crop of fellow new supermodels.
New York-based Laura attended All Saints Catholic Language College, in Rawtenstall and Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School Sixth Form, in Waterfoot.
advertisementShe studied A levels in maths, business studies and theatre studies, before leaving in 2001.
Her rise to the top began after she left Rossendale for London with friend Henry Holland, who she met while working at the chippy.
She was spotted by a model scout and Henry went on to found the design company House of Holland, stocked in Barneys and Harvey Nichols.

As one of the most famous and recognizable faces in Germany, this charming character from Seeds management has exploded onto the modeling scene over the past years. At 5′11″, Supermodel Jana Drews has already lived in Paris and New York , where she conquered the modeling world and walked down the runways for such fashion heavyweights as Christian Dior, John Galliano, Giorgio Armani… just to mention a few. But what do you expect from a former ballet dancer with such an unique look? We’re certain we will be seeing even more of Jana this year, but in the meantime FMD had the chance to interview her…

Stunning Magdalena Sciupider came to the states with her family in the early nineties with dreams of a wonderful life. The Poland native always valued and respected family and friends, and believed in strong work ethic. She always said “Set no limits for yourself and shoot straight for the moon”. If she wants something, she will make sure she gets it.
As a young teen she entered a state wide teen pageant where she climbed the ranks and won. Her striking good looks and flawless figure caught the attention of an agent. She was quickly signed by Ford Model Management of Chicago. This is when her passion for modeling really took off. Throughout the next two years she travelled around the world following her dreams… FMD had the chance to interview this amazing person!

For evidence that digital information, once set free, cannot be controlled, consider the steamy video of Brazilian supermodel Daniela Cicarelli making out with her boyfriend on a Spanish beach and, um, furthering their activities in the water just offshore.
The couple persuaded a Brazilian court last fall to force the video-sharing site YouTube to remove copies, but other users simply resubmitted the video through their free accounts.
Earlier this month, Internet service providers in Brazil, responding to the judge’s order, briefly blocked access to YouTube entirely. But by then other Web sites already had the video, and many in Brazil even had stored personal copies on their computer hard drives.
Safekeeping information — video, photographs, documents — will become even tougher with the emergence of additional “Web 2.0″ services designed for users to easily share data…

German Supermodel Dari Maximova never considered modeling until she got scouted one day on her way to a store in Berlin (Germany). Since then, she won the largest grand prize in the modeling industry when she was named the FORD Models Supermodel of the World 2002. In the meantime the 23-years-old eye-catcher started to lead a glamorous life in front of the camera, burns up the catwalks and finally has been elected FMD’s model of the month December. Today, among the fashion specialists Dji Dieng is considered as one of the most beautiful black Supermodel of the world. She has the longest legs of all topmodels, and her smile is flavoured with an extraordinary Aura ! Dji, born at Thies, Senegal, past her childhood partly in Dakar, as well as in Paris and lived in Italy and the USA to perfection her language skills.. She dreamt to become polytechnician (as her father), but these dreams have been changed suddenly when Dji was discovered by a “Scout” of an international Model Agency….

She likes Kate Moss and potatoes but never planned to become a fashion model. We’re talking about Isabel Neumair, the German eye-catcher whose versatile look may grace many high fashion magazine covers and star catwalks very soon. At 5’9.5” this silent Place discovery is said to be a reliable and tolerant person. Despite her young age, Isabel works very professional with no aptitude to ask many questions and on that score she was not that great small-talk-lover when FMD had the chance to interview her.
