CFDA Fashion Awards: And the winner is…

Those who wish to be surprised at tonight’s 2006 CFDA Fashion Awards should stop reading now. For others, here’s a look at who is expected: Karl Lagerfeld and Lindsay Lohan have been tapped to present the Accessory Designer of the Year award; Harry Connick Jr. will introduce the Menswear Designer of the Year award, while Jessica Lange will give the Eugenia Sheppard honors to Bruce Weber. Other celebrities expected to attend include Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie, Chloë Sevigny, Terrence Howard, and the svelte-again Janet Jackson, who is expected to be the guest of Elle editor in chief Roberta Myers. The sold-out “Upstairs at the Library” portion of the event, meanwhile, is expected to attract a mix of fashion people, models, socialites and a celebrity or two, from Karolina Kurkova to Fabiola Beracasa, Zani Gugelmann and Rachel Bilson.
