Paris Hilton wants $665,000 for TV appearance…

Paris Hilton
Charlotte Church surely doesn’t think Paris Hilton is anything extraordinary or worth being paid $665,000 for. The Welsh singer has stopped Paris from being on her new television show after the wannabe model and hotel heiress demanded $665,000 for her appearance.
Charlotte, whose debut TV show begins this Friday on Britain’s Channel 4, said Paris wanted the “obscene” amount to be interviewed.
She told Britain’s Radio 1, “We asked Paris to be on the show. I thought it would be funny to make fun out of her because she’s such an airhead but she wanted a ridiculous amount of money. Having her on would have cost us the price of a big house – ?350,000. It’s pathetic. It’s not as if she would say anything earth changing.”
Charlotte also revealed that she would be singing the theme song to the show every week, and that one of the verses will be changed every week to make it fresh.
Despite looking forward to the start of her television show, the singer admits it has been hard work.
“It’s not just a chat show. There will be a band on every show as well as a comedian and there will be comedy sketches too,” she said.
“I’m really looking forward to doing it. I thought it would be nice to have a break from singing, but I never realized how much hard work it would be. When you’re recording you have to spend so much time doing promotional work it can be really tiring so I thought this would be easier. But I was so wrong. I’ve been working like a donkey.”

Kate Moss named “Top Hat Wearer”

Kate Moss
Supermodel Kate Moss is well ‘ahead’ of the rest in the latest fashion trend… the celebrity hat. No self respecting star is without one these days and colourful Kate beat Princess Michael of Kent in a survey to find the best wearers. Singer Robbie Williams came first in the men’s list followed by the Prince of Wales. Joanna Lumley and David Beckham take the third position in the respective lists compiled by Luton’s millinery industry with Dawn French and Sir Sean Connery next, and then Baroness Thatcher and Jonathan Ross.
Philip Wright, of the town’s millers Walter Wright Ltd, said hats were an important element of the fashion wardrobe. He said: “A hat is the final statement in personal style and to be recognised as one of the nation’s most stylish hat wearers is an accolade for individuality and distinction.” Tony Edwards, of Luton First which carried out the poll of 2,000 people, said that Kate Moss was a worthy style icon for hats.
He said: “Kate manages to wear the most elaborate and extravagant millinery designs with great confidence and aplomb and, most importantly, without the hat seemingly wearing her. “She has the face to launch a thousand hat collections and has done much to promote hat wearing in Europe in recent years.”
Robbie Williams, who tops the male chart, is described as a fun fashion fan who obviously like to ‘dress up’. Mr Edwards added: “He does not take fashion too seriously and appears to treat clothes as a bit of fun. “His recent recordings of early 1950’s hits provided the excuse to wear ‘Rat Pack’ suits of the period and, of course, the Sinatra hat – now very much back in fashion.”
Angela Cummins, who runs The Hat Box in Luton selling Luton-made headwear, believes women should choose a hat carefully and then wear it with caution. She said: “It is important to find a hat which suits your face but so much more important to wear it with confidence. “Celebrity hat wearers tend to remember the golden rule not to tilt the brim down at the front, covering the forehead and often restricting vision.
“Best always to keep a level brim, your head up, and to walk with supreme confidence that you look great. But try not to let the hat wear you.”

Cindy Crawford’s botox confession…

Cindy CrawfordSupermodel Cindy Crawford has confessed to having Botox and collagen injections. The model, who turned 40 this year, has admitted she owes her flawless skin to a cosmetic surgeon she has been seeing since she was 29. Crawford told Gala magazine: “I owe the quality of my skin to my cosmetic surgeon. I’m not going to lie to myself, past a certain age, creams work on the texture of your skin but, in order to restore elasticity, all I can really count on is vitamin injections, Botox and collagen.” The supermodel once claimed she kept her skin in good condition with a “miracle mixture” of ground coffee and olive oil. She now claims she has a different beauty regime.
She revealed: “I have a very simple, healthy life, which works miracles. I drink a lot of water, watch what I eat and exercise.”

Kate Moss just can’t dump Doherty!

Pete & Kate : a never ending storySupermodel Kate Moss seems to have become the perfect example of being blind in love, as her lover Pete Doherty’s stint in rehab does not seem to have diminished her affection for him. Kate reportedly calls up Doherty in rehab reassuring him that she wants to marry him.
“Pete was practically in tears during one conversation telling Kate how much he loved her. He said: `If I hadn`t f***ed things up we`d be married by now. I thought you were going to leave me,`” a source was quoted by the Mirror, as saying. “It was very lovey-dovey,” he added. The Babyshambles star, who punched a nurse on Sunday, is wearing a pewter-coloured ring which he says marks their engagement. Kate is in Bali with friends and stories spread that the pair planned to marry there last week, but the Babyshambles singer, 27, was ordered into the clinic after he was charged with five counts of possessing drugs.

Gisele BundchenDespite personal lows this year with her break-up with Leonardo DiCaprio, supermodel Gisele Bundchen continues to be on a professional high according to Forbes magazine.
Forbes is reporting Gisele Bundchen made $30 million last year. The super model is set to make even more money with the signing of three new deals. First up is the contract with Mexico’s Liverpool stores, followed by Italy’s Stefanel and finally the Korean-based Tug.
Bundchen’s reps from IMG would not comment on rumors she is in negotiations with a famous jewelry brand that is promising her the opportunity to design her own jewelry collection.
Gisele’s career had a rough start at age 14 with bookers insisting her eyes were to close together and her nose too big. Today, many magazines and television shows proclaim her to be the most beautiful woman on the planet.

Caprice Bourret blames arrest on bad breath

Caprice BourretModel Caprice Bourret has claimed a prescription drug and her bad breath were instrumental in her London arrest last year on charges of drunk driving. Sky News reported the fashion model`s lawyer, Nick Freeman, reinforced comments made by his client that her arrest last December for drunk driving was solely the result of ‘alcohol halitosis’ – the smell of alcohol on her breath – and her body`s reactions to a prescription drug she was taking. ‘There is a total absence of any suggestion of intoxication in this case.’ Freeman said in a London court this week. Freeman alleged that the 34-year-old model had been taking the antibiotic Cipro for a urinary infection and the drug had a direct effect on her body`s ability to cope with wine she has admitted drinking prior to driving.
The network said Bourret, who tested at one-and-a-half times the legal alcohol limit for driving on Dec. 10, will hear the results of her case Friday when District Judge Emma Arbuthnot delivers her verdict.

Kate Moss – a model who refused to grow up

Kate MossSupermodel Kate Moss is 32 going on 18 and I’m not talking about her appearance. Emotionally, she seems to suffer from the drama queen syndrome that tends to afflict teenage girls. Thankfully, most women are through it well before the end of their 20s.
Kate’s eternal state of adolescence is the only possible explanation for her bizarre devotion to the no-hoper Pete Doherty.
It is hard to imagine a less attractive prospect than Doherty. He looks like a slightly spotty, ashen-faced, lanky overgrown schoolboy who has just returned from a particularly unfortunate visit to the hairdressers. His conversation consists of incoherent burbling and his lifestyle is a textbook example of seediness.
So what does the extraordinarily beautiful and successful Kate Moss see in him?
I suspect it’s a classic example of a pampered woman who only wants what she cannot have. Doherty is incapable of commitment which is exactly why Kate Moss continues to pursue him. Doherty is a just another drug; she is addicted to the roller coaster of emotions which he provides. A relationship which is full of lows inevitably also produces highs. Last week Moss took her family and friends to Bali where they were told to expect a special celebration. Apparently, the supermodel had planned a Balinese-style spiritual ceremony to seal her partnership with Doherty. At the eleventh hour, the singer failed to show up as he was ordered into a rehabilitation clinic following his arrest for possessing class A drugs. Kate is said to be devastated and is now being comforted by her circle of friends and hangers-on.
Kate Moss’s face was first plastered all over magazines when she was a teenager. She has been feted ever since and her huge income removed her into a rarefied world where they only thing worth striving for was the next thrill.
Motherhood should have been her salvation. But when you hand your baby over to teams of nannies and carers, it doesn’t have the same impact that it has on most women. Kate is still emotionally a baby herself. They say it can be a curse to get everything that you wish for. In Kate’s case, that means the James Dean wannabe Pete Doherty.

Lawyer’s Body blow for Elle…

Heidi vs. The battle of The Body is set to rage on, with Elle Macpherson unlikely to head to court to wrestle back ownership of the title from her challenger, fellow supermodel Heidi Klum.
One of the most prominent lawyers in the US, Floyd Abrams, has weighed into catwalk catfight, the saying the 42-year-old Aussie would struggle to succeed in court action against Klum for pinching her trademark name.
“I think it’s dubious that a description as banal and obvious as `The Body’ can receive much in the way of legal protection,” Abrams told the Los Angeles Times.
But while Abrams, a famous First Amendment attorney, doesn’t think Macpherson has a case, he makes no secret about which of the two bodies he thinks should own the title.
“As for the more critical issue of which of the two supermodels is more deserving of the appellation, I’m with Elle,” he said.
