Audrey Lindvall killed in bicycle wreck

August 4th, 2006

Audrey LindvallAngela Lindvall’s little sister, 23-year-old Audrey was riding her bike near Highways 150 and 291 when she hit a curb and was thrown under the wheels of a gasoline tanker that was pulling into a gas station. A friend of her was riding behind her. The two were planning to meet friends and go partying.
Fashion model Audrey Lindvall was staying at her family’s home in Lee’s Summit before moving from New York to Los Angeles. She would have turned 24 next week. Lindvall’s friends and relatives said they are overwhelmed with grief. “She loved everybody, and she really went out and lived life to the fullest. She used to love to make faces and laugh and have fun,” said Michelle Jersept, one of the victim’s sisters. “She was going to move to LA with (her sister) Angela, go back to school, continue to model. And she was in love, found the love of her life. She was very, very happy.” Relatives said Lindvall was multidimensional.
“(Modeling) wasn’t her passion; it took her a long time to even embrace it, which she finally did, because she realized it was a job and she was grateful for it. But her passion was nature, plants, healing and ecology,” sister Angela Lindvall said.
“She wanted to change the world,” a relative said.
“My mother always taught us that ‘pretty is as pretty does,’ and Audrey lived that,” Jersept said.
“I know that she’s an angel now, and she’s going to be with us in spirit forever. I try to find there to be some reasoning for this, and maybe it was her time to go, but it’s just so hard to think I’m never going to get to hang out with her again and laugh with her again, so I just hold on to the memories,” Angela Lindvall said. “We were very, very close, and we had such a good time together before she left.”
Relatives said that in when she was living in New York, Lindvall often rode her bicycle in heavy traffic, and they can’t believe she was killed in a bicycle wreck in a Missouri parking lot.
Members of two bicycle groups held a candlelight vigil at the scene of the accident Thursday night. They said they wanted to highlight the need for safer streets for bicyclists.

I knew Audrey pretty well. I grew up with her in Lee’s Summit and she was best friends with my sister. Audrey was such a beautiful woman, and she always put a smile on everyone’s face. Audrey was such a kind person and she lived life beautifully. We will all miss her very much!

Audrey was a very beautiful girl that I tried to avoid through the halls cause I would usually drop my books or something. I never knew that she was such an incredible model. I knew about her modeling but I never knew she was kinda big. After I left high school I went to college and lost touch with a lot of people and when I heard about Audi then I took the first flight home to be in town for the funeral but got called to Avignon , France for some Training. Since the 7th grade Audrey was around and she warmed those around her but i will admit she can be a bitch when she wants. To the Family I will say that I know what it has been like and I feel the pain. Godspeed Audi and remember that no matter where she is …she will be watching so let’s make her smile brighten the world like she wanted to do. I love and miss all my Graduating class of Lee’s Summit high GO TIGERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I hope to see u all again…till then Audrey can now be the Supermodel she was born to be for Heaven

Audrey was more than a model. She could have been as big, if not bigger than her older sister Angela. But she used her life to focus on more important things, such as family, friends, nature, and spirituality. The people she was close to her now have a void in our hearts, but hold on to the belief that it is not the end. She was just to good for this world. Now her courageous heart now flies (even though she is afraid of heights) with the rest of the Angels. Take some time to learn about the inner beauty of this gift that we were so blessed to have for 23 years on earth. Ill never have a friend like you Augi. You wont be forgotten.

By the way, her fear of heights didnt stop her from skydiving, or riding the rip chord at Worlds of Fun.

Also, I did not want my last message to denigrate Ang in any way.(when I said how big Audrey could have been) Audrey looked up to her sisters Michelle and Angela, and was a role model for Eric, Natalie and Rachel. I know that the strength of Father Randy and Mother Laura, along with the siblings will find some reason for this tragedy. They are the most open minded, strong willed, spiritual, and inspirational people. Everyone that knows them wishes they had a family like theirs. Thank you for bringing this gift into the world. Audrey, I want you at the gate waiting for me when Its my time.

Audrey was my little sister and I miss her dearly. She was one of the most wonderful people I have ever known. Life is much different without her. Sometimes I just want to believe that she is in New York and I will see her at Thanksgiving. But I know it’s not true and that I will never see her on earth again. She will never be able to frolic with my children and nephews or laugh and giggle or cry with all of us siblings again. I know she will never be able to visit her aunts and uncles and grandma or embrace our mother or father. It’s quite unresting to think of all of this. Most of the time I try to remember what we had. I thank God that she was such a stong person in my life and that I got to spend so much time and make so many memories with her. I feel truly blessed. I also know that we will walk together again when it is my time to leave earth. I have to remember embrace life and enjoy every moment as you never know what the fork in the road will bring. Audrey has moved on to to work on a spiritual level now and has made a huge impact on anybody that she came in contact with. She will be missed and loved forever. We will always remember her and keep the fondness of her in our hearts. We will continue to tell stories of her and hold on to the blessing we had. Her soul is free and she will continue to endure in another realm. Thank you from my family for all of the support and love that everyone has surrounded us with.

Audrey was a wonderful person with a sweet heart. I was friends with Audrey through a mutual friend Patrick. He introduced me to Audrey a little over a year before she passed. What I remeber of her is a beautiful strong young woman that could do anything that she wanted to in life. All of her doors were open and opportunity was always there. She had a family that cared greatly for her, and friends that loved her as well. I will remember the fun times and hope to see her again in another life. I wish her family and friends well.
