Johnny Depp has urged the British press to stop hounding his former girlfriend Kate Moss and her new lover Pete Doherty - because they are “great together”. The Pirates Of The Caribbean star - who dated the supermodel in the mid-1990s - admits he wasn’t a good influence on her, but insists she and the troubled Babyshambles rocker are a good match.
He says, “I was not good for Kate. But she’s a strong girl and a great girl and very smart.
“Dragging her through the mud like that - they (the newspapers) are weird and two-faced. Let her be! I have never met Pete Doherty, but I think he has talent and he and Kate could be great together. She’s got a great brain on her and she’s a great mommy.”
Moss is mother to four-year-old Lila Grace, whose father is media mogul Jefferson Hack.

Sports Illustrated model May Andersen got into the Cannes Film Festival spirit … and took her left breast out for a little sun while on a boat trip on Thursday. It’s all about showing your cans in Cannes!
While her shipmates — babe magnets Kid Rock and James Blunt — foolishly took in the harbor view, May’s wardrobe malfunction went mostly unnoticed. Somebody send these rock boobs a nip slip alert!
Luckily, there were no flight attendants in the air rage-licious model’s vicinity, and authorities were not called.

Kate Moss and Pete Doherty are going through a rough patch, according to reports.
The couple spent an evening together last Tuesday, before returning to Moss’ London house.
However, Doherty was seen leaving the model’s home in the early hours of the morning, with a suitcase and guitar in tow.
According to the Daily Star, Kate Moss left her house some hours later, sporting a bruise on her cheek. Although it is thought the bruise was not caused by Doherty, the model was wearing dark glasses on the cold day, and was trying to keep a low profile.
Although the full situation is not known, rumours are flying suggesting that the two have called it a day once again.

Petra Nemcova has been seen dirty dancing with Paris Hilton’s ex-boyfriend.
The model - who previously dated British singer James Blunt - was seen cavorting with Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos at Hollywood’s Bungalow 8 nightclub.
An onlooker told the New York Post newspaper: “They were making out and she was grinding with him on the dance floor.
It was pretty gross. I mean, he used to sleep with Paris. Eww.”
Petra’s representative said: “I haven’t heard about this.”
Since the Czech beauty split from ‘You’re Beautiful’ singer Blunt, he has been linked to Lindsay Lohan, but she is now seeing Calum Best.
Blunt has also been on dates with Paris Hilton.
The singer recently filed an appeal at London’s High Court after royalty payments from his debut album were suspended.
US music producer Lukas Burton claims to have worked with Blunt on six of the tracks on ‘Back to Bedlam’ and has described the songs as being “crude”
and “laughable” in their original form.
Burton has now claimed he is entitled to a cut of the album’s proceeds and the Performing Rights Society has suspended all royalty payments. The LP has sold over 11 million copies worldwide.
The producer - who has also worked with Sir Paul McCartney and Dido - said:
“In an unproduced state Blunt’s music was crude, occasionally laughably direct and betrayed his relative lack of musicianship.”
Blunt, 33, and his record label EMI have now issued a writ against Burton at London’s High Court.

British supermodel Naomi Campbell was scared of the effect five days of community service would have on her face and she says that she started to feel ‘the wear and tear of the week’.
Campbell had to serve at the New York sanitation department for flinging a mobile phone at her former housekeeper, reports dailysnack.com.
In her dairy she wrote, “I start to feel the wear and tear of the week. I see bags under my eyes. I think, ‘Oh my god. I need a good night’s sleep.’”
She was surprised that most of her community co-workers had never left the US.
She added, “Two of the people in the room have never been on a plane. They ask me what it’s like and I’m embarrassed to tell them I was alone on seven planes the week before.”
She also revealed that her addictive personality got her hooked on sweeping.
“I keep on sweeping. I’m moving so fast they tell me to slow down. I’m getting very protective of my pile of rubbish, kind of the way I feel about my Herm?s handbag. I keep looking around to make sure no one is crossing into the area I was assigned to sweep. I guess that’s my all-or-nothing behaviour again. Once I start sweeping, I have to sweep everything,” she said.

Supermodel HELENA CHRISTENSEN and pop superstar KYLIE MINOGUE have become the best of friends after bonding over their past relationships with the late MICHAEL HUTCHENCE reports Contact Music.
The pair slammed reports they fell out over the INXS singer, and now share a fond embrace whenever they see each other.
Christensen says, “Whenever we see each other, we have a heartfelt hug. It’s always good to see her… “We both dated a wonderful person so we will always have that in common. The whole speculation about my relationship with Michael was out of control. “We were never going to get married and I certainly never bought a wedding dress. I was the one who was trying to get myself out of the relationship.”
Meanwhile, Kylie Minogue has been swept off her feet by a handsome Latino hunk.
But her involvement with Ricardo De Rojo is strictly ballroom and strictly business reports Daily Mail.
Kylie, 38, who has denied any romantic link with married Chilean film director Alexander Dahm, was being taught to tango by De Rojo in Buenos Aires.
The dancefloor duet could increase the rumors about the singer and Dahm, whose wife is about to give birth to their second child, though.

Claudia Schiffer, the German-born supermodel famous for her large mammaries, adorable buck-toothed smile and an innate inability to gracefully walk a runway, has returned.
Few may recall, but back in the early ’90s her runway trot was compared to that of a Clydesdale by the international fashion press.
The former supermodel kicked up her heels at the Costume Institute Gala last week in New York. And after all these years, she still looks… awkward. Check out the shrugged shoulders, stick straight arms, the weird one-fingered death grip on her tassled evening clutch. Supermodel? Make that Improbablemodel. Which is kinda hard to say, but you get the point.
Schiffer virtually vanished from the fashion scene after marrying film producer Matthew Vaughn in 2002. They live in London and have two children - son Caspar Matthew and daughter Clementine de Vere Drummond, born in late 2004.
She hasn’t done too much career-wise of late. Not that she had to. For a decade, she made $6 mill a year from Revlon, gleaned gobs of dough from calendars and exercise videos and recently produced two books, “Memories,” a pictorial about a fashion show and “Claudia Schiffer by Karl Lagerfeld”, a coffee table tome of photos taken by Lagerfeld. Anyone remember the ill-fated Fashion Cafe that Schiffer and some supermodel pals opened in New York? Didn’t think so.
Recently, Claudia was hired to be the face of an economic ad campaign called “Germany - Land of Ideas.” Not quite the peak of a supermodel’s career.
But now she’s got her old job back! Herr Karl has hired his former model/muse for the 2007 Chanel Cruise Collection ad campaign. Is Karl going ’90s retro already? Schiffer will be at the runway show that takes place at the Santa Monica Airport Friday, May 18. Front row guests may include Emmy Rossum, Demi Moore, Camilla Belle and Cameron Diaz. But don’t feel too badly for Claudia. At least she didn’t end up like another model whose career was launched by provocative Guess?

Kate Moss, back from her promotional tour in New York, is clearly making up for lost time with her boyfriend, Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty.
The reunited pair have been inseparable since the model returned to London, stepping out for a romantic date at the Cow Pub in London’s Notting Hill.
Moss and Doherty put on a show of affection, kissing and cuddling in front of fellow patrons.
The couple could barely keep their hands off each other during their night out.
The pair moved on for an intimate diner at nearby Rosa’s Dining Room, where they regularly slipped out of the non-smoking restaurant to puff on a cigarette.
A night earlier, the couple shared a romantic date at London’s Jazz After Dark bar.
During Moss’s recent visit to America for the launch of her Topshop range, Doherty was arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A drug, but the rocker’s troubled ways are clearly not standing in the way of their relationship.
Meanwhile, Moss plans to lend her Midas touch to a new range of hair products.
She is set to appear in a campaign for a range by hairdresser to the stars James Brown, her childhood friend from Croydon, according to reports.
A source told The Sun: “Kate is giving her advice and expertise from years in the fashion industry.”

Queen of Cool Kate Moss is launching her own haircare line with celebrity hairdresser friend James Brown.
Kate, 33, grew up with James, 33, in Croydon, and he’s the man responsible for creating her blonde, tousled lusted-after locks.
‘Kate is giving her advice and expertise from years in the fashion industry,’ one source tells The Sun. ‘The products will feature her image but, unlike her Topshop clothing range, they won’t have Kate Moss branding.
‘James grew up with Kate and he has been massively supportive to her throughout her career.’
The supermodel is no doubt hoping the venture will add more pennies to her estimated ?45 million fortune.
But if Mossy’s going to start promoting haircare products, she really shouldn’t be leaving the house with a dodgy do like this one.
