Supermodel Wants Divorce to Be Public

Christie Brinkley wants her divorce to Peter Cook to remain public.
On Friday, at a Suffolk County court, Christie Brinkley won a bid to keep her divorce open to the public, despite warnings about nasty publicity that will come, especially since it might harm her children. The judge ruled in favor of Brinkley because he believes that society can learn from their divorce.
Brinkley is divorcing her husband, Cook, an architect, because of infidelity among other matters that make her uncomfortable and offended. Brinkley stands by her children and her decision to leave the trial public because she wants the truth to be known.
Cook is disappointed that she is putting this trial in front of their children, Jack, 12, and Sailor, 9. His lawyer and the children’s guardian are siding with Cook in that the children really do not need to see the whole trial, reported the NY Daily News.
