Kate Moss poses in flawless photo shoot (apart from the laddered tights) as she launches new Topshop collection

She may have been in the spotlight recently for her bedraggled complexion but if there’s one thing getting better with age it’s Kate Moss‘ Topshop collection.
The supermodel-turned-designer launches her eleventh offering for the high street chain and this time around there’s not a floral tea dress in sight.
The Autumn range sees the usual array of sequined embellished jackets, dresses and cardigans alongside fabulous seventies-inspired all-in-one catsuits and faux fur coats.
The 35-year-old appears to have gone for a sultry sophisticated vibe, as shown in the series of photos used to promote the collection.
With tousled blonde hair and smokey eyes Miss Moss poses seductively in the black and white photo shoot in a series of key items including a belted culottes jumpsuit with zip sleeves (?100).
Another photo sees her sitting cross-legged in a leather mini skirt (?60) and fluffy jacket (?45), complete with laddered tights. Whether the damaged hosiery are the result of another heavy night on the town is anyone’s guess but they add to Kate’s rock chick look – the staple ingredient of her designs.
However, this rock chick seems to have grown up a little and is reflected in the longer hemlines, as seen on a striking leather dress (?150), and selection of cosy cardigans (starting at ?45).
Kate admits to a ‘move away from the playful designs of past collections’ in favour of ‘an eclectic collection of vintage glamour and smart, chic pieces for a more grown-up Autumn Winter 09’.
With shoppers strapped for cash in the current economic climate, perhaps the pricey collection, ranging from ?22 for a vest top to ?400 for a sequined maxi dress, is aiming its fashion arrow at a more mature, monied audience.
The collection, which hits the shops on 31 August, is just one of the moves made by the ageing supermodel to continue her career once the modelling contracts stop.
As well as playing a key role in Philips Green’s burgeoning Topshop empire in the US, where she is helping launch a second New York store, Kate has been in talks with Simon Cowell to appear in the new series of The X Factor.
According to reports Simon wants Kate to help one of the judges whittle down their final three acts for one of the categories. Aside from dating a string of rock stars, and accompanying Pete Doherty in one of his songs, Kate’s music credentials seem to be limited to a love of karaoke.
But judging by these stunning photos she won’t be looking for work any time soon.
