Alessandra Ambrosio: A model mom
She’s a catwalk queen, an avid surfer and one of Victoria’s Secret most famous faces. But what supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio can’t seem to master is singing.
“I love karaoke, but I’m a horrible singer. . . . If I was any good, I would be a superstar by now.”
All jokes aside, the Brazilian-born beauty, who was in town to help promote Saturday’s Victoria’s Secret model search, has been keeping busy these days.
Besides juggling her modeling career, the 28-year-old has a 1-year-old daughter, Anja, with her longtime beau, California businessman Jamie Mazur.
“Work is a little harder now because I’ve had to learn how to divide my time between my family and my career.”
A model she shares a common bond with is VS Angel Heidi Klum. “She has a lot of kids, sometimes we bring our children to work with us, we’re a big happy family.”
So what advice does the mom have for models starting out?
“You definitely need to believe in yourself and take risks,” she said. “But you never know in life. Becoming a [Victoria’s Secret Angel] is one of the greatest things that’s happened to me.”
