British model Lily Cole never believed she could compete with fellow catwalk beauties such as Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.
Lily Cole never believed she could be a model. The flame-haired British beauty claimed she still has problems with believing she is beautiful. She said: ‘I definitely never thought of myself as model material. Me on a catwalk with all these superwomen? ‘If a fashion designer says I inspire them, I am still not sure how that happened. ‘My job in the industry gave me a lot of self confidence, which I didn’t have in the past. But I don’t feel beautiful either. On the other hand I don’t feel ugly.’ Lily, 21, who has modelled for Chanel, Topshop and Christian Lacroix in the past, also claimed that the fashion industry is not as glamorous or dangerous as many people may imagine. She told Welt Online: ‘You have to think very hard with whom you want to work, to not lose ground. I always worked with very professional people you could call boring. Because of that I can’t tell you anything about orgies.’
