Is Lara Stone the new Kate Moss?
It was the campaign that made Kate Moss a household name. And 17 years later, Lara Stone has followed in her footsteps to become the exclusive face of Calvin Klein.
With sultry poses and the same androgynous style, the Dutch model could almost be mistaken for Kate, who attracted attention in the 1993 ad for her waif-like frame, a look which made her the poster girl for ‘heroin chic.’
Refreshingly, recent decades has seen the label sign curvier models including Christy Turlington and Scarlett Johansson, with ‘voluptuous’ Stone (she’s a UK size eight) now the new face for the brand’s three fashion lines, Calvin Klein Collection, ck Calvin Klein, and Calvin Klein Jeans.


But while Calvin Klein told The Telegraph Kate was ‘difficult to work with’, Lara, 26, is proving to be a hit after models.com ranked her the world’s number one fashion model.
The newlywed, who recently married Little Britain star David Walliams, is clearly to be going from strength to strength as she wins favour among the industry’s elite.
Calvin Klein’s creative director told WWD: ‘ For me, Lara was the perfect choice for the new campaign because she is a woman who epitomizes confidence and sensuality.’

The blonde previously appeared on the Calvin Klein catwalk for the Spring 2007 show and again in the Winter 2008 show. She was also pictured in campaigns for Calvin Klein Jeans, and ck Calvin Klein beauty.
Lara spent time between modelling jobs planning her lavish ?80,000 wedding to Walliams last month.
The comedian chose uphold tradition during a brief half-hour ceremony in the elegant surroundings of Claridges Hotel.
Lara wore a ?30,000 tight-fitting, flowing cream gown by Ricardo Tisci of Givenchy, that featured gold brocade and a lace-trimmed train.
