Duchess Caroline

Last weekend was Caroline Trentini‘s time to tie the knot with photographer Fabio Bartelt. The wedding cerimony took place in Brazil. For her big day, the 24-year-old Brazilian beauty chose an Olivier Theyskens gown, very similar to one Kate Middleton wore the day she became the Duchess of Cambridge.

As she was not enterring a royal wedding, Caroline’s bridal look was lighter and more relaxed than Kate’s classy and very pulled-together princess ensemble. However, it’s not hard to spot were the two dresses seem to coincide: the lace bodice, the sweetheart neckline and the full ball gown skirt.
More originality was expected from a model with Trentini’s curriculum – high-fashion runway shows, Vogue covers, Victoria’s Secret gigs – than choosing to “copy” a beautiful dress that already recalls another one from the past. The Alexander McQueen dress Sarah Burton designed for Kate Middlenton was inspired by Grace Kelly’s wedding dress from the 50’s.
But, despite all that was said, Caroline Trentini was an elegant blushing bride!
