Petra Nemcova’s engagement is over
The Czech model Petra Nemcova engaged the actor Jamie Belman in January 2011, after an eight months relationsip. One year and about three months later, the model sees her romance coming to an end. As a spokesperson of the model’s agency, Next Models, told Vogue.co.uk this morning “Petra Nemcova and Jamie Belman confirm their separation. They remain close friends and thank their families for their continued support during this time. There will be no further comment on the matter”.
Petra’s wedding was set to happen next June and her dress was confirmed to be Marchesa since August 2011.
Survivor of the tragic 2004 tsunami that took her then-boyfriend’s, Simon Atlee, life in Thailand, the model decided to help the local victims by founding the Happy Hearts charity. This foundation, she is still running as chairwoman, has the purpose of arranging ways to give the children living in disaster-stricken areas a better education.
If her heart is not to be filled with a loving marriage so soon, it gained more room for the children who shared the same horrible moments she did back in 2004.
