After telling her stunning body is not the product of miraculous treatments – but of a very healthy diet and a pretty rigorous exercise routine that includes a lot of yoga -, Miranda Kerr keeps showing her pretty looks are quite easy (and cheap!) to maintain. In a recent interview for Pop Sugar TV, the Victoria’s Secret Angel revealed rosehip oil, lip balm, a kitchen tablespoon and a body brush are some of her lifesavers!
Known to be a fan of coconut oil and Tahitian Noni Juice, Miranda states rosehip oil (extracted from seeds of a wild rosebush found in the southern Andes and available for purchase at most health and beauty stores) is her Holy Grail of skincare products. It helps the healing of scars, pits and other skin blemishes, boosts tired complexions and gives the model a very quick fix whenever she needs it: “Now being a mother I don’t have as much time to spend on my skin. And I like to wear rosehip oil at night. It’s full of that many antioxidants and it really works on a cellular level too to rejuvenate the skin. I put that on at night and I wake up glowing”, she said.
She also uses her KORA Organics range, stocked in Australia, to support a brand of rosehip oil, which skincare excelence she attributes to a particular blend of ingredients: “This is without a doubt, a product that every woman should have in her handbag and one that I will continue to use throughout my life. I use this under my moisturiser of an evening and as a makeup remover around my eyes. I also use it more frequently if my skin is particularly dry at any time”.
If Miranda Kerr uses her lip balm to nourish her lovely lips, it was not the use she referred to. Following a make-up artist’s tip, she taps a litte lip balm on the highest part of her cheek bones to give her eyes a lift.
As for the spoon, it happens to be a great eyelash curler! The model applies a coat of mascara and then pinches her eyelashes between her thumb and the piece of cutlery untill she gets the curvature she wants.
The body brush is her most reliable skin smoother: “It’s a dry brush, you can get it from the health food store and you brush your body with it. It makes your skin super smooth”. She uses it after showering to remove her skin’s impurities, so the silky touch is the only thing left.
